Wulfenite was floating around in space, still mourning the death of his beloved mom. "I can't believe mom didn't do anything to stop it. And that Pearl left, too. I had so many things planned for us. I never had the chance to attend a ball Pink used to throw. Man, I guess you realize what somebody means to you when they're gone." Wulfenite got to his senses right before he almost collided with a meteorite. He stuck his arm out and straight up punched through it. "Oh stars I hope that wasn't a moon..." Wulfenite said to himself. In the distance, Wulfenite could see a planet. He glanced at his arm pad and saw that it was his destination. "Right on time. I dedicate this rescue operation to my most fun mom, Pink Diamond. May she rest with the stars." Wulfenite dive bombed a few miles from the giant tower which held the terraforming Lapis Lazuli. "Okay, I hope I don't run into any gems on the way. I'm in no mood to fight. I'll just do this stealthily." Wulfenite flew straight to the tower and landed next to it. "Okay, there has to be an entrance around here. I'll just circle the tower." Wulfenite walked along the tower until he bumped into an Amethyst. "Hey! Watch where you-" the Amethyst didn't see anyone. "What the heck?" Wulfenite was floating above her. "Eh, probably nothing." The Amethyst turned around. Wulfenite picked up the Amethyst, put her legs around his neck and dropped on his rear, smashing the Amethyst on her back. "That takes care of her. I'll bubble her and go on." Wulfenite resumed his search. Further on, he saw two Amethysts were guarding the entrance. Wulfenite jumped up, dropped himself between the two, grabbed their heads and smashed them into each other. He then aligned them and pierced them both with his foot, poofing them. "Sorry girls." Wulfenite said. He silently opened the door and checked around the corner; nothing. He checked his arm pad: "All the way to the top. Got it. Now, I can do this two ways. One: I fly straight up and crush everything in my path, or I take the stairs..." Wulfenite laughed and flew straight up. At the second last floor, he stopped. An Amethyst stood there. "So this is how you work?! You just break towers because you're too lazy for the stairs?!" Wulfenite got red: "Well, I, uh, I have a reason. You have something that isn't yours!" "You mean the Lapis? She's ours now." "I don't think so!" Wulfenite yelled. He grabbed the Amethyst, put her above his shoulders, and dropped her on them while jumping up, crushing her. He then picked her up from behind, lifted her up again and dropped her on his knee. "Sorry sis, but you're being too difficult." "You-argh-don't have to be so -argh- rough!" The Amethyst punched Wulfenite from the side. "Good hit! Now try doing that with your legs apart and by breathing out. You'll pack a harder punch." The Amethyst punched him again, following Wulfenite's instructions. "Ouch, that's the way!" "Y'know, Wulfenite? If you weren't the enemy, I bet we could be great friends." "I guess so too." Wulfenite said and he punched the Amethyst straight through her face, poofing her. "I'll send you to my room. I like you. Sorry, by the way." Wulfenite murmured. "Alright, to the task at hand!" Wulfenite yelled as he pointed up; "I'll take the stairs now..."
Wulfenite found himself in front of a big metal door. "So this is where they are holding the Lapis? Let me count how many kicks it takes before this door breaks." Wulfenite jumped up and drop kicked the door open. "Heh, one." Wulfenite walked in and saw a chained Lapis sitting in the middle of the room. "Oh my, I hope I'm not too late!" Wulfenite ran towards the Lapis and inspected the chains. "Okay, I can poof her or I can-" the Lapis woke up: "No! Don't poof... me?" The Lapis was flustered; "Who... who are you?" "I am Wulfenite: Son of the Diamonds! And I have come to free you, my fair lady." Wulfenite kneeled; "I heard you are important to Homeworld." "I am? I figured they'd already replaced me." "They did. You are important because of other reasons, but my moms refuse to tell me why." "Well, as far as your 'moms' care, I won't talk. You can tell them that." "Uh, okay. Got it." "I must say, Wulfenite, you are rather unique. I can't quite tell why, though." "I get that a lot. You'll figure it out soon enough. Now, allow me to break these chains." "Go ahead." Lapis held her arms up. Wulfenite grabbed the chain around her arm and crushed it open. "Be careful not to crush my arms. I need those." Lapis said. "Don't worry, I'll be very careful." Broke the other arm chain and then broke the two around her ankles. "Uh, Lapis? These last two are very close to your, you know." "Don't worry, you're alright. You may go near." Wulfenite blushed and broke the last two chains. "There we go. All done!" Wulfenite reached his hand out to help Lapis up. "Thanks, Wulfenite. Those chains were very uncomfortable. Now, where to next?" "Now we're going back home. The Diamonds are very on edge today, because today, we lost someone very important." "Who was it?" "...Pink Diamond." Lapis was shocked: "Pink Diamond? How?" "Rose Quartz. A gem who appeared out of nowhere and wreaked havoc among the gems of earth, making them rise up against Pink. They started a resistance and their leader, Rose Quartz, went ahead to negotiate with Pink. We just left the Diamond room and heard crashing sounds from the room. When we got back in, she was lying there. She got shattered by Rose." Wulfenite shed a tear. "Oh my, that's horrible..." Lapis said as she put an arm around Wulfenite. "I'll be alright. Yellow Diamond proposed an attack. We're going at war. Earth will suffer." Wulfenite said as he clenched his fist. "I will fight alongside you." Lapis said. "You know, Lapis? When I first read your entry on the Homeworld database, I expected you to be another cold, mindless gem. But you know what? You're the one of the most caring and nice gems I have encountered to this day." "I-I'm flattered! I didn't even know you existed! I've been stuck in that tower for the stars know how long! I'm glad that a product of the Diamonds is a caring one." "Heh, funny story: I was meant to be mindless, but thanks to a couple of Rubies who dropped me in a tub of fluid gem liquid, I now am my own gem." "Those Rubies deserve a promotion." Lapis said. The two started hugging. "Now, let's go. I've already missed thirteen calls from Yellow." Wulfenite said as he checked his armpad. "Where's your ship?" "At Homeworld. I flew here with my cape. It can go up to almost 300.000.000 meters per second, also known as the speed of light." Lapis hopped into Wulfenite's arms and said: "Then let's get going!" Wulfenite smiled and flew back to Homeworld.
