"Shh... they're still sleeping." Pearl shushed at Amethyst. "C'mon, P, I wanna smack him awake. Please?" Pearl shook her head. Amethyst looked down, made up her mind, ran towards Wulfenite and was about to slap him awake, but Wulfenite quickly grabbed her wrist: "You're too loud. Next time, try sneaking instead of running." Pearl jumped up and down, cheering for Wulfenite. Garnet chuckled. "What's all that noise?" Steven said half asleep. "C'mon, Steven, I think we're going on our mission." Wulfenite said. "You bet, it's a hard one, though" Amethyst said. "Let's give Steven some privacy." Wulfenite said.
With Steven prepared, the gems warped away. They arrived on an island. "What is this place?" Steven asked. Garnet replied: "This is the island where we sensed a gem." "We as in you two, or..?" Wulfenite said jokingly. Garnet ignored him. "Let's fight it! I want to see Wulfenite in action!" Steven enthusiastically yelled. Pearl patted Steven and said: "I've seen him in action, so I'm sure you're in for a treat, but there's one problem. We haven't located the gem yet." "That's right," Garnet added; "We're going to split up in groups of two and locate that gem." "I want with Wulfenite!" Steven yelled. "No fair! I want to go with Wulfenite, too!" Amethyst yelled. Pearl said: "I think it's only fair if I go wi-" Amethyst interrupted Pearl, saying: "You've spent enough time with Wulfenite, give us some time with him!" "Yeah!" Steven added. Wulfenite quickly said: "Guys, guys, let's be decent about this. We have a mission to complete. This won't be our only mission." Steven and Amethyst calmed down. "Fine, you can have him," Amethyst said; "if I can have him on the next mission" "Deal!" Steven said while shaking Amethyst's hand. "Let's go." Garnet said. And so, the gems split up to find the gem.
"Why'd you want to go with Wulfenite, anyway?" Pearl asked Amethyst. Amethyst said nervously: "Well, I... wanted to see him destroy that gem, of course." Pearl looked doubting at Amethyst. "Are you suuure?" Pearl asked teasingly. Amethyst blushed. "I don't blame you for liking him, I like him, too. But you liked him from day one, which is pretty fast if you ask me." Pearl said. Amethyst replied: "I've just never seen a gem like him. He's... different. I like that about him. He's also surprisingly nice for someone looking that buff. Never thought it was possible since I saw Jasper." Pearl nodded. "I see. Anyway, we need to find that gem." Pearl jumped high up and landed on top of a tree. "I'll check up high, you check down below." Pearl stated. "You got it, P." Amethyst said.
