Steven and Amethyst were playing a game on Steven's phone. "Tap him! Come on! Tap him!" Amethyst yelled. "I got him, I got him!" Steven yelled back. "Are they always like this?" Blue Diamond asked Pearl. "Rarely. This really is a beautiful sight." Pearl told her. "It's so weird. You can see a little bit of Pink back in Steven. She too was this immature." Yellow said. "But he is allowed to be immature. He is still a kid." Garnet stated. "Quite so." Yellow said. Lapis and Spinel flew into the throne room. "Our mission is complete!" Spinel said. Lapis dropped Spinel and landed gracefully. "Good. Now we wait until tomorrow." Yellow said. "Where's White Diamond?" Spinel asked. "The universe doesn't stand still, dear. White has to fix Homeworld after what that horrible Ultranite did." Yellow explained. "About that, how did Ultranite come to be?" Peridot asked. "Yeah, I wondered that too." Steven said. He had put his phone away. Amethyst too gave her full attention to Yellow and Blue. "Well, it all started a long time ago. After Wulfenite left during that war preparation day, the gems were starting to question our rulership. It took a long time to regain control over the gems and fix Homeworld. We were furious about Wulfenite, so we decided to make him again, but without imperfections. We had gems guarding her while she was made. She was never dropped in gem fluid, which is why she is an Ultranite." "So if Wulfs was never dropped in that tub, he too would've been an Ultranite?" Amethyst asked. "Indeed. Anyway, Ultranite started as an obedient gem servant. She executed missions better than Wulfenite and never questioned anything. She was truly perfect. She got a brand new cape and a one of a kind arm cannon. She couldn't fuse or summon a gem weapon, a design aspect we removed. One thing she did get was aerokinesis. It was all planned. Wulfenite would've gotten it too. Sadly, he was meddled with." "Interesting. But why did Ultranite turn on you?" Pearl asked. "Let me finish. We gave Ultranite an Emerald. Emeralds don't serve masters, so she just turned Ultranite against us. She helped Ultranite develop her own identity. Slowly, she became aware. She knew what she was capable of, and she used it for worse. She monologued to us her plan and then disposed of us. She was out to get the last obstacle; Wulfenite. I think you know the rest." "Dang, Ultranite wasn't the cause... it was that Emerald!" Amethyst said. Pearl backed her up. "And we never caught that Emerald!" "Don't panic, that Emerald can't turn all of Homeworld against us. Especially since we've put Steven's new rules into action. Homeworld will thrive." Blue said. Steven nodded with a confident smile. "Look at you, little ruler!" Amethyst said as she rubbed Steven's head. "Steven, it's bedtime." Garnet said. "Oh right. He's half human." Yellow said. "Yeah, Sorry Diamonds. Let's go get some sleep." Steven said. The gems all went with Steven to Wulfenite's room, but before they left, they said their goodbyes. "We'll meet here tomorrow!" Steven yelled. "We'll be waiting." Blue Diamond said. Steven waved and they left the throne room.

Pearl tucked Steven in. "You're sleeping in the bed of a legend, how's it feel?" Pearl asked. "I feel powerful!" Steven said. "Yeah, I slept there often. I'm flattered you find me powerful." Lapis said. Steven laughed. "Good night everyone." Steven said as he closed his eyes. "Good night, Steven." The gems said in unison. After a good chunk of time had passed and Steven was fast asleep, Pearl turned to Lapis, who was staring out the window. "Hey, Lapis?" Pearl asked. "Hm?" Lapis turned to Pearl. "Do you think Wulfenite will be... different when he reforms?" "I honestly don't know. Maybe he'll be the old one, or maybe he lost all his memory. I hope the first one." "I really hope he won't forget everything that happened. Fixing that memory is going to take so long. Worst part is, no one knows about those five years on earth! He's the only one that knows what he did during that." "Yes, that's pretty scary." "Did he never tell you?" Peridot suddenly asked. She had been eavesdropping. "I only heard parts of it. I don't have a clear overall picture." Lapis said. "That will pose a problem." Peridot sighed. "Let's just hope he will be the old one." Pearl said. Lapis and Peridot nodded.

"Steven? Steeeeveeeen? STEVEN!" Steven screamed and fell out of the bed. "Wake up, dude! We're gonna miss the show!" Amethyst said. Steven stood up and looked around. "Hey, where is everyone?" Steven asked. "They're already at the lab! C'mon, we're late!" Steven got dressed. "Okay, but how are we going to get there?" "I have something for that." Amethyst said as she revealed Wulfenite's cape from behind her back. "You have his cape?! Where did you get that?!" Steven asked shocked. "When he grew gigantic, this cape still held on, so I couldn't take it then. But he also got poofed. That was my golden opportunity. Heh, pretty neat huh?" Amethyst said as she put on the cape. "Can you control it?" "C'mon, how hard can it be?" Amethyst jumped up and launched through the roof. Steven looked through the hole in the ceiling. "Amethyst? Are you okay?" Amethyst fell back to the ground: "Oof, that's not easy. I went top speed." "I know the feeling." Steven said with a smile. Amethyst was confused: "You flew it? Oh right, you told me. Okay, let's go. I think I got this thing figured out now. Hang on." Amethyst grabbed Steven and flew directly to S3xl.

Amethyst landed swiftly on the surface of S3xl. Steven dismounted and Amethyst put away the cape. "Not bad eh?" Amethyst said proud. Steven patted her on the back and together they entered the lab, but just as Steven tried to open the door, all the others ran out of the lab. "Step aside! He's going to reform!" Peridot yelled. "Looks like we're right on time." Steven said. Peridot put Wulfenite on the floor. "This is so exciting! I wonder what he will look like! He's been wearing the same outfit for the past six thousand years!" Lapis said. The gemstone rose and Wulfenite reformed. Wulfenite landed back on the ground. "Ah. I feel reborn!" Wulfenite said. "Wulfenite! You're back!" Lapis yelled and she gave Wulfenite a hug. "I'm sorry, but do I know you?" Wulfenite asked. "What?" Lapis was worried. "Oh no..." Steven said. "H-how... Why?" Peridot said. "Why am I surrounded by ge- Okay I can't do it. I'm just kidding! I know you all!" Wulfenite said and he began laughing. Garnet smacked him on his head. "Ouch! Hey, I was just kidding!" Wulfenite said. "Very funny. I was worried!" Lapis said. "Come on, I didn't mean it! Where is my happy Lappy?" Wulfenite asked. Lapis looked away, but then jumped at Wulfenite. "I can't stay mad at you!" Wulfenite hugged Lapis back: "There she is!"  Steven coughed: "Amethyst." "What?" Amethyst asked; "Oh right. I have your cape, Wulfmeister!" Amethyst grabbed the cape and gave it to him. "Hey hey! Now it fits with my new look! The previous look never matched with the cape's pattern." Wulfenite said and he put on his cape. "My turn!" Spinel yelled as she jumped on Wulfenite's neck. "My best friend is alive and well! No memory loss?" Spinel asked. "Not at all! I'm completely the same as before, except for my looks." "And sense of humor." Pearl said jokingly. "Aw, give me a break." Wulfenite laughed. "Now that you're back, what will we do?" Steven asked. "I've got an idea." Wulfenite said.
