"So, where do I sleep?" Wulfenite asked Peridot. Peridot raised an eyebrow and asked: "You're a gem, why do you need to sleep?" Wulfenite replied: "I don't necessarily need sleep, but enjoy it. It makes you feel calm and relaxed." Peridot understood: "That sounds good. Maybe I'll give it a shot, too. For research purposes." Peridot guided Wulfenite to the big bed upstairs. "It's up there. I can't reach it, though." Wulfenite picked up Peridot and flew up to the bed. "I can." He said. Peridot was shocked, but also pleasantly surprised. She jumped on the bed and lay down. Wulfenite hung his cape on the pillar next to the bed and lied down next to Peridot. "Don't get any weird thoughts, or you'll be singing soprano." Peridot said. Wulfenite swallowed. A silence fell. Wulfenite wiggled from left to right, trying to make himself comfortable. Peridot looked up at the ceiling. Wulfenite suddenly said: "So, how is it to live alone in a barn, out of Beach City?" Peridot answered: "I used to live in Steven's bathroom, but it wasn't very nice, so I moved to this barn. And one time, the original owner of this barn, Steven's uncle, came back and didn't want me in his barn, but thanks to Steven, he let me anyway." Wulfenite said: "sounds like Steven saves the day pretty often, I'd hate to steal that title, so I'll just let him be the growing star. He needs to aquire skill, I was born with it." Peridot started to admire Wulfenite. He was so thoughtful. Wulfenite continued: "Back on Homeworld, I had quite a few problems to deal with. Wanna know my favorite adventure?" Peridot nodded eagerly. Wulfenite laughed and said: "Okay then. I was sitting in my throne in the diamond room. I suppose they got rid of that throne. Anyway, I was sitting, until I received a message from Blue Diamond that there was a gem that needed rescuing. It was my future girlfriend, Lapis Lazuli." Peridot swallowed. "She was trapped in a tower on a distant planet, which was occasionally in and out of Homeworld's communication range. I was assigned to save her, so I did. I flew to the planet, took out the rebel Amethysts, smashed through the door, rescued Lapis and flew back to Homeworld. We grew a liking to each other, but she is gone forever now... I need to move on." Peridot felt bad for Wulfenite, but she also saw a opportunity, because she started to have feelings for him, but she decided to wait a few days. She needed to get closer, whatever it'd take. "Well, that was my story. I'm gonna sleep now. Goodnight, Peridot." "Sweet dreams, Wulfenite." And so they fell asleep.
