I chance a look back. Yup, he's still there... I turn a wrong corner to make sure he's really following me...

Yup... There he is again... I turn and stomp towards him.

"Why are you following me?! Don't you get enough fun out of me at school?!" I yell at him. "Why, Tao? We used to be best friends!"

"Jenina..." He starts.

"Is this an actual explanation, or..." Thunder struck then... Tao grabbed onto me in an attempt to hide from the sound.

He's always been afraid of thunder. "Nina?" He called me by my old nickname...

Now, normally I would turn away and forget him like he did as soon as he became kinga of the school. But I'm not like that, I was never like that... So I comforted him...

"Shh, it's okay, Oppa..." I whispered as I ran my hand through his blonde hair as thunder clapped again.

He tensed up. I don't know what to do... He's been mean to me since the eighth grade and now he needs my comfort...

"Jenina... I need to explain..." Thunder... He tensed up again and squeezed me.

"Come on, let's get to my house..." I pick him up and we walk to my house. I put him down on the couch. "Explain," I demand.

"I... I pushed you away because.... I was...." He seemed to try to find a word. "Scared... I was scared..." He admitted.

"Scared of what?! That I would be more popular than you?!" I ask angrily.

"No, it was never like that, Nina..." He paused. "I was scared of my feelings. I was scared of hurting you. Or rejection. I loved you, Jenina... I still do." He whispered the last sentence.
