Umuwi ako ng magaan ang pakiramdam. I keep my brightest smile for it not to look so obvious. Afraid for the questions might they throw. Pero parang hindi ko iyon kayang itago at mag-iwan lang ng kaunting bakas upang ma-ipakita na maayos ang naging pagtakbo ng araw ko ngayon.  Though, kahit naman hindi ganoon kaganda, we still have to wear our beautiful smile.

"Jesus christ, Waffa Kaye!" I heard mom's almost feverish voice. Why?

"We've been waiting you for almost an hour earlier! Mabuti nalang at tinawagan kami ni Rodleigh to inform that you were not in good condition, what happened?" I actually forgot what happened to me, dang!

"Uh, I am fine now, mom! It's just, natakot lang ako. Second floor was so empty, i see no one and when i heard footsteps doon ako mas lalong natakot." Mom just looked at me incredulous. Her facial expression says it all, that if it was only a joke, then it is the most cruddy joke! Ngunit sa huli ay parehas silang natawa ni daddy at ganon din ako.

I was about to ask about Keisxia when i remembered something. Iyong sinabi kanina ni Rod tungkol sa 'Big announcement' nila mommy. Mabuti at naalala ko agad ang tungkol doon.

"What is the big announcement all about, Mom? Dad?" Kinuha ko ang unan at naupo sa sofa.

"I was expecting na sinabi na sa iyo ni, Rodleigh."

I shook my head.

"Mas mabuti daw po na sa inyo manggaling." Nangunot ang noon ni, mommy. Ngunit kalaunan ay tumango-tango din.

"Rodleigh is the new CEO of our company." Marahan ang pagkakasabi ni mommy. Ramdam ko ang pagtitimbang niya sa bawat salitang binibitawan, tinitingnan ang magiging reaksyon ko.

"W-What about their... company?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's on his parents hold. Rodleigh wants to work on our company since then, and we have no clue what he is up to. He's been pursuing it, kahit na wala pa kayo dito ni Keisxia. It's been a long time. Who would say no to Rodleigh?"

What she stated made me smile somehow.  We cannot deny the fact that my man have a huge brain towards business matters. One of the things that i can be proud of.

"He's nimble." Sa business nga lang. Sana ay ganoon din siya noon pagdating sa pag-ibig.

"That's all you can say? We are expecting to hear a bushel of rants." I can almost taste the mock on dad's tone of voice.

I just ignored what he said. I can't tell what the real score between me and Rodleigh, yet. Parang ang bilis naman yata kung sakali man.

A moment of silence happened, as we all eyed Keisxia who's coming towards our direction with one of the housemaids.

We saw how her eyes roam around. She's looking for something---for someone. Napansin din iyon nila mommy. Ngunit sa huli ay tahimik na naglakad si Keisxia tungo sa akin. She is looking for Rodleigh, i know.

She directly sitted on my lap and rested her head on my chest and then yawned.

"Are you sleepy?"

"I just woke up, my." Humarap siya sa akin at yumakap. Her gestures made my heart melt. She's growing up day by day, but her actions did not changed. I am looki'n forward to it won't change even when she get older.

Tumayo sila mommy at lumapit sa gawi ko. They were catching Keisxia's attention.

"We'll be leaving, hija. We still have some things that is needed to fixed."

"Okay, then. Take care." Sanay na ako sa ganito. Hindi naman kasi sila namamalagi dito, they were always have a business but it's not a hindrance to our bond as a family. If i needed them, they will find a way. Kaya kahit hindi kami laging magkakasama, hindi ko naramdaman na may pagkukulang sila sa akin bilang magulang.
