My friend in my math class (which I have with my crush) said that she thinks he likes me. She said that 1) he talks about me a lot 2) she always knows when people like each other 3) we're the only ones who give each other notes and 4) she sees "love in his eyes" when he looks at me.

I'm-

"It hasn't been this cold in Hawkins for a long time." Hopper states, and Eleven nods, her eyes still upon her Eggos.

"You okay?" He asks, and she lifts her eyes. She nods, and takes a bite of her Eggos glazed with a thin layer of chocolate syrup.

Hopper had always shown her different ways to eat her favorite food, allowing her to explore her love for the product. Her favorite way was with the simple topping of chocolate syrup, and if she was good, with some fresh strawberries upon it.

"Did I tell you that today Mike's coming over?" Hopper asks, and she visibly brightens. "Really?" She grins, her heart and eyes hopeful.

He nods, a smile drawing to his lips. "When?" She jumps out of her seat, nearly knocking the small table over. Hopper quickly steadies the table, and she mumbles a soft apology.

"Uhhh I think Mrs. Wheeler said he'd come around 2." He glances at his watch. She glances at it too, and bites her lip as she thinks back to the lessons Hopper gave her on telling time.

"1...14... 1:14!" He nods, pride showing in his features.

"You may want to start getting ready, El." She nods eagerly, and rushes to her small cabin room.

Eleven steps out of her room as the sound of small talking reaches her ears. She peeks towards the front door to see Mike and Hopper conversing lowly.

Mike gives Hopper a smile, and she is surprised to see Hopper return it. Mike steps into the cabin, slightly nervous, but still manages to have a dorky grin on his face.

His grin widens when he sees Eleven in front of her room. He rushes to her, and she wraps her arms around his neck, while his arms snake carefully around her waist. "I missed you." He mumbles against her.

They didn't see each other much, since Eleven still had a few months left of her confinement. Mike was busy with starting high school, which he found he didn't like as much as middle school. But every time their schedules were free, and if Hopper allowed it, they visited each other.

"I missed you too." She whispers, and sneakily kisses his neck lightly. They pull away, and Mike glances at Hopper from over his shoulder momentarily.

"C-Can we hang out in her room?" He asks, and Hopper sighs.

"You know the rules, kiddos." He points his finger sternly, and Eleven rolls her eyes. She loved him to death, but sometimes he was very protective. But she nods, knowing that he just didn't want her to be hurt again.

"I'm leaving for my shift, so be good." He waves at the two teenagers, before exiting through the creaky cabin door.

Eleven shivers slightly, the breeze of the outside coldness reaching them airily. Mike furrows his eyebrows, and places a hand on her shoulder. "Are you cold?" He asks, and she shrugs.

"Just a bit. I forgot how cold it's getting." She laughs lightly, trying to ignore the slight chattering of her teeth.

"Babe, I thought you wouldn't need a jacket. I'm only wearing a sweater!" He groans, considering giving her his sweater, but remembering that he isn't wearing anything beneath the green and grey striped sweater.

"Mike, I'm okay." She is okay, she had felt worse. Her mind flashes back to the week she spent in the snowy forest, barely surviving with her few items of clothing, no food, and no source of water. Yet she managed.

He bites his lip, before rushing to her closet. He quickly looks through it, before pulling out an old sweater he gave her a few months ago.

"I know you're cold, and I know you like my sweaters, so you are going to wear this." She opens her mouth to argue, but he cuts her off by walking over to her, and slipping the sweater over her head.

She can't help but find herself absorbing the warmth from his sweater, and inhaling the scent of him.

"How about I make you some hot cocoa?" Mike suggests, and she tilts her head like a adorable puppy. "Hopper's never made you hot cocoa?" His jaw is slacked, and she shakes her head.

"I swear to fuck." He mumbles, and rushes to the small pantry. He scrambles through it, and gasps when he finds the small package. He picks it up, and shows it to Eleven, who's curiosity and confusion increases.

"He had a package of easy to make hot cocoa!" He gasps, and Eleven grins. She doesn't understand what he's saying, but she finds his reactions adorable.

"Choose a movie and I'll get everything ready." He instructs, and she excitedly jumps to action. She rushes to the small shelf of classic movies Hopper had carefully selected.

She pulls out Ghostbusters, and rushes to the small box TV, and places it into the slot for movies. Hopper had given her instructions on how to specifically work their TV.

Mike hurries himself with the hot cocoa, humming quietly as he stirs the mixture.

Eleven joins in the tune, humming softly as well as she waits for the movie to appear on the screen.

Mike bites back a smile, but resumes his humming. The tune wasn't for a song they knew; it was a tune they made together.

"Here's your hot cocoa, El." Mike steadily brings her the cup of hot cocoa, focused on not allowing it to spill.

"Thank you, Mike." She grins, and he carefully places it on the table next to the couch. She peers over at the drink, and studies the light brown mixture.

"Is it hot?" She asks, and he giggles. "It's called hot cocoa for a reason, angel." He laughs, and she blushes in embarrassment.

She takes it gently in her hands, and carefully takes a sip. The new feeling of the hot liquid is new to her, but she licks her lips, allowing the taste to spread through her mouth.

"Mmm." She smiles slightly, taking another small sip. Mike watches her with doe eyes, as her curly hair falls onto the side of her face.

He then grabs his own cup, and brings it just as carefully to his side of the couch. He sits down next to Eleven, and takes a sip of his own drink. He hums in satisfaction, proud of her reaction to the hot cocoa.

He shifts closer to her, and she smiles, leaning against him slightly. Ghostbusters begins playing, the screen quality slightly fuzzy, but still enough for the couple to enjoy their favorite movie.

"I love you." She mumbles, and he feels his heart explode with emotions he had never felt before. They had yet to say their 'I love you's, but their love was evident to everyone around them.

Her words seem to also have a shocking effect on her, but she knows how much she means the three words. When Hopper told her what love was, she immediately realized that the description matched everything she felt for Mike.

She loved him, and he loved her. They were each other's first love, and they both had a strong feeling they would be each other's last.

"I love you too." He smiles, placing a gentle kiss on her lightly red nose.

So there they sat, snuggled against each other as the classic 1984 sci-fi film played on the small box TV.

Both with their sweaters and hot cocoa.
