"Why should I have to marry you?" Millie's words drip of venom and frustration of the situation at their hands.
"You know how the arrangement is supposed to work, Princess Millie. Our parents need this deal to unite our kingdoms, so we must marry. Blah, blah, blah. We must be united." Noah waves a hand dismissively, as if getting married to someone you just met is a common event.
"But I hardly know you!" Millie exclaims, her shoulders flying up in frustration. Noah sighs, running a quick hand through his hair.
"And I hardly know you. Yet, this is how tradition is, darling. I wish I could offer words of difference or some other opportunity, but I'm afraid I can't." Noah's eyes hold deep sympathy for his arranged fiancée.
"Fine. But I must get to know you before any event happens, understood?" Millie places a hand on her hip.
"Understood, Princess Millie."
"You can call me Millie. If we're going to be hanging out more, I don't want it to be tainted by professionalism."
"Understood... Millie."

Millie's soft footsteps let out a soft rustle against the freshly mown grass of the castle garden. She wasn't supposed to be out and about at this untimely hour, but seeing as she had yet to fall asleep, she decided to take a late night stroll around the Schnapp Kingdom.
Her body was clung to by a large sweater and some ripped jeans she had forgotten she brought for the travel. She didn't wish to wear a dress while exploring the kingdom; they were highly uncomfortable and made her stand out in a way that she despised.
The crickets of the night chirp their nightly song, echoing in the nearly empty town. Millie wasn't surprised by the silence, seeing as most citizens should have been asleep at the time.
"Sneaking around the town at this hour?" A voice comes from behind Millie, and she jumps in fright.
She whips her head around to be faced with a boy leaning against the brick wall of a house. He looked to be around her age, youth evident in his features even with just the moonlight beaming at him. Millie studies his somewhat visible features; his curly hair, sparkling brown eyes, pale skin, and soft pink lips that held an amused grin.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you. But may I ask why you're out at this ungodly hour?" The boy steps closer to her, and Millie soon notices that he was quite a few inches taller than her.
"Just... couldn't sleep." she shrugs, picking at her nail.
"That's a fair reason..." he trails, peering at the girl.
"Um, Millie." she says softly, looking up at the boy. He smiles down at her, pulling his hand out of his pocket to hold it out in a offer for a handshake.
"Finn." he says, and she smiles while gently shaking his hand.

"I don't understand why I must marry him!" Millie yells, slamming her fist against the mahogany table. Her father looks at her with a beet red face, as he stands up and points an accusing finger at her.
