WARNING; CONTAINS MAJOR FLUFF
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
El dances around the kitchen, making her favorite breakfast. Waffles. She dances to the music, humming along to her favorite song, Every Breath You Take. "I'll be watching you." She softly songs under her breath. She soon feels strong arms wrap around her waist, and a face nuzzle into the crook of her neck. "Mike." She playfully groans, moving her head slightly so she can kiss his head.
His cheeks flush, and he nuzzles further into her crook. Even though they were 21, living in a house together, and had been dating for 7 years, Mike still couldn't help the feeling of butterflies in his stomach.
He pulls away, and turns her petite body around to face him. "If nothing lasts forever, will you be my nothing?" He smirks, brushing a strand of her curly hair behind her ear.
He still remembered what she looked like when they were 14. Now her hair was past shoulder length (she preferred to keep it just a bit short), her eyes glittered with more curiosity everyday, and her features had only grown more mature as the years passed by.
She blushed, the tint of red against her cheeks gave her a younger look on her face.
"Was your father a thief? Because someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes." He continues, as her cheeks grow a deeper red.
"Mike." She whispers, voice small in embarrassment. He softly kisses her small nose, and she scrunches her nose up, and Mike softly smiles at the adorable reaction.
"Are you a dictionary? Because you've added meaning to my life." Mike smirks, hands on her small hips, and she awkwardly placed her hands on his chest.
"Mikeee." She groans, cheeks the color of a tomato. "Wait let me try one." El insists, moving her arms up to wrap around his neck. He raises his eyebrows, indicating for her to have her turn.
"There m-must be something wr-wr-wrong with my eyes, because I can't keep t-them off you." She stutters, her own face heating up. He grins at her, cheeks flushing a light pink.
"I-I messed that up..." She shyly says, looking down at her hands. He chuckles, stepping closer to her.
He places his finger under her chin, and lifts it up gently. He glances down at her lips. "You're adorable." He smiles, before leaning down and placing his lips on hers.
She smiles into the kiss, their lips moving in a well known synced pattern that they had always went by since they started dating.
He pulls away, and nervously licks his lips. "What's wrong, Mike?" She asks, worried. He says nothing, but kneels down on one knee, taking out a velvet box from his back pocket.
El places a hand over her mouth, as she lets out a gasp, tears already beginning to form in her chocolate brown eyes. His eyes are too beginning to fill with tears.
"El... I will never forget the day we first met, when you were alone and cold and scared. I'm so glad I helped you, because if I didn't I wouldn't have found love. I wouldn't be here with you now, happier than I have ever been. You make me the happiest person in the world, and I can't imagine spending a day without you. You are my everything. You are my life. So... Jane Eleven Hopper... will you marry me?"
El feels a few years slip down her face, as she processes the sight in front of her. "A thousand times yes!" She yells, and he smiles, tears falling. He slips the expensive ring on her finger, and kisses her roughly.
The kiss was rough yet full of love and passion. Their tear stained faces brushed against each other, as their mouths move together in a dance that she wished to do forever.
Mike pulls away, but keeps his eyes closed. "I love you, El." He mumbles, their lips still brushed against each other.
"I love you too, Mike." She whispers back, as they begin swaying to the music that was still playing.
"Promise?" He asks, their noses touching each other, as though if they pulled away they would both shatter into pieces.
"Promise." She says, kissing his cheek.
He pulls her into a hug once again, placing his chin on top of her head. He takes in the soft smell of her hair, wishing he could stay like this forever.
"I must be in a museum, because you truly are a work of art." He whispers into her ear, and she giggles.
