Finn sighed shakily as he closed his laptop, pushing it away from him before running a hand through his thick curls. Finn has just finished an online class for his college, seeing as class had been cancelled for certain circumstances. (cOrOnAvIrUs)
Finn has been stressed out all day and after finally finished his last class of the day, he felt as if all of the stress and anxiety was about to spill out. Finn slowly stood from his desk, his entire body shaking lightly as he slowly walked to his living room and dropping his body down onto the couch. His breathing began to pick up to a fast pace, and his eyes were starting to water. Finn felt his cheeks and entire body begin to rise in temperature, and he soon began hyperventilating.
Everything seemed to be crushing down on him, and Finn couldn't keep everything in his head, no matter how hard he tried. Hot and salty tears began to trickle down Finn's flushed cheeks as he pulled his body into itself. Arms wrapped around his legs, body shaking and lungs suffocating, Finn trembled and cried.

Millie lifted her head from her book in confusion, pulling her glasses off her face and setting them down on the small coffee table in front of her. She has heard a strange noise coming from her neighbours apartment. It was a faint noise, but Millie could almost identify it as a whimper.
Millie wasn't exactly friends with her neighbour- not that they didn't get along- she just never went out of her way to befriend the boy. Yet the sound confused her, and in the slightest, frightened her. So she quickly slipped her bookmark into her book, set it down and stood from her small chair. She left her apartment, and went to knock on her neighbours door.
One knock. No reply.
Two knocks. No reply.
Millie then noticed a small crack between the door and the doorframe. Millie nudged it gently, and the door began to slowly swing open.
She stopped momentarily to consider her options, before a sob and shaky breathing snapped her out of her mind. She walked inside, and called out to who might be causing the noise.
"Hello?"
A shaky breath pauses.
Finn looked up from his balled position on the couch and met eyes with hers. His eyes sparkled of tears and hers with concern.
"H-How'd you g-g-get in here?" his voice cracked and died out at the end of his sentence. Millie took two more hesitant steps towards him.
"The door was slightly open, I'm sorry I just heard weird noises and wanted to see if you're okay... but I don't think you are." her voice is soft, scared that he could break if she talked too vociferously.
"I-I'm fine." Finn wiped away the falling tears and put a weak smile on his face in an attempt to prove his point to the brown eyed girl.
"Finn..." she trailed, then remembering his name.
Finn met eyes with her once again, looking into her soft brown eyes, eyes filled with genuine concern for him, and that was when the dam broke, and his tears fell freely.
Millie shut the door behind her before rushing to Finn's side to comfort him. His sobs were ugly and heartbreaking, and his body was trembling from head to toe, but Millie didn't care. She felt a connection to Finn, and genuinely cared about his wellbeing.
Millie took the first step by gently pulling Finn just slightly towards her body, putting a single hand in his curls and playing with them, while whispering sweet reassurances to the boy.
Finn then took the next step and laid his head on her chest, wrapping his arms loosely around her torso, while Millie's free hand found residence on his back, running up and down softly.
They then fell quiet for a moment.
Finn's sobs had died down to soft sniffles, and Millie had rested her head atop his.
The sunset's golden beam shone through the curtains in Finn's apartment and onto the two young adults. Birds chirped a nightly melody as they prepared for the night. Commotion from other residents could be heard from the hallways.
But still Millie held Finn through it all.
