Chapter Seventeen

Farewell

Pagkatapos ng dinner ay nag start na ang social dance at cotillion na pinaghandaan ng lahat. Aliw na aliw kami ni Ricci sa kakapanood sa mga kaibigan namin na sumasayaw. Yakap yakap niya ako mula sa likod habang tinatawanan namin ang quirkiness ni Brent at Amer na nasa unahan kasama ang kanilang partners.

"Sorry ulit baby ha. Hindi tayo nakasama sa kanila na sumayaw," malungkot na sabi ko kay Ricci.

He squeezed my shoulders, "Okay nga lang babe. Basta ba lahat ng sayaw mamaya ako ang kasama mo." nakangising sabi niya.

"Grabe naman yung lahat. Dancer na dancer ang datingan mo Rivero ah." I said giggling.

All the students were asked to settle down after the cotillion then the song of 98 degrees is now playing on the background. It's now time for the freedom dance wherein the students can ask anyone for a sweet dance.

"Can I have this dance, babe?" lahad ni Ricci ng kanyang kamay sa harapan ko.

"No need to ask baby," I answered softly then gladly  took his hand.

We joined the other students on the dance floor as I saw my friends already dancing with their partners. Kasayaw na ni Jenny si Jared habang si Alyssa ay nakayakap na din kay Kevin. Nakita ko din si Brent naman na may kasayaw na din na 4th year. I laughed when I saw Amer dancing with Ma'am Abi. But my eyes bulged when I saw my cousin dancing with his vice president.

Something fishy huh? Ito ba ang walang ka'date?

Ricci put his hands on my waist while my arms were hooked in his nape.

"I will forever cherish you babe," Ricci whispered in my ear that sent shivers on my spine.

We dance while looking on each others eyes with our hearts beating wildly.

Kalma lang Adi, Baka mabaliw ka.

I hug him when I can't take the intensity of his eyes anymore.  Mahal na mahal ko talaga ang lalaking ito.

He kissed my hair and whispered how much he loves me repeatedly.

"I love you too baby," malambing na sagot ko.

We remained on this position until the song ends. Magkahawak kamay kaming bumalik sa table namin at masayang nakipagkulitan sa mga kaibigan namin. We laugh, dance, and enjoye the whole night not minding the sharp and envy look from the bitches.
