Chapter 15 - No labels but Taken

Sakay ng limousine, tahimik lang si Mandie at Jaybee na nakaupo.

Jaybee:  Are you tired?  or sleepy?

Mandie:  No pa naman, ikaw?

Jaybee: Not really, let's not go home yet. I have a surprise for you.

Mandie:  Baka hanapin ako nila Taytay. They know that the Prom ends around 11 eh.

Jaybee:  I told Tito Ninong, I asked for permission and told him that I'll bring you  home a little later.  Sorry, I forgot to mention kanina kasi I was getting worried that you were upset with me eh.

Mandie:  Okay lang... where are we going ba?

Jaybee:  Sa Haven's Hotel.

Pagpasok nila ng Lobby, sinalubong sila ni Drake at inihatid sila sa elevator. 

Drake:  Sir Jaybee, sa Roof Deck  po sa  may Aviary.

Jaybee:  Thanks Drake.

Dinala nga ni Jaybee si Mandie sa Roof Deck sa garden area doon sa tabi ng Aviary.  Isang couch ang nakaset-up.  Carpeted ang sahig nito, may lamesa sa harap na may candle light.  May nakahandang malamig na champagne sa lamesa at dalawang champagne glass. 

Inalalayan ni Jaybee si Mandie para maupo sa couch.  

 Lumapit  ang waiter at ipinatong sa lamesa ang french fries, fish and chips  at  cheese sticks. Binuksan ang Champagne.  Nilagyan lang ng laman ang mga baso nila at tuluyan ng umalis.

Mandie:  Wow, this is nice. Nakakarelax, I might fall asleep.

Jaybee:  I ordered all your favorites so I doubt that you will fall asleep. 

Mandie:  What is this for?  I mean... bakit may ganito pa?

Jaybee:  I just want more time to be spent with you.  Besides if we go home, I'll miss you agad.

Namula ang pisngi ni Mandie, napainom ng Champagne ng di oras. Uminom na din ng Champagne si Jaybee.

Jaybee: Nagenjoy ka sa Prom?

Mandie:  Yup, it was fun spending sometime with my classmate tsaka its funny how they can't believe that I can dress up like Barbie and not like Laura Croft.  You, did you had fun? What did your classmates said?

Jaybee:  Nagenjoy ako sobra kasi kasama kita and I was so proud that you are my date. Some of my classmate are envious because you're really beautiful.

Mandie:  Sus if they knew I was so childish I doubt that they would be envious, Sorry pala, of what happened. Nakakahiya sa yo, that was so childish. 

Jaybee:  Which part is childish?

Mandie:  About the dress... I should have showed you the dress first.

Jaybee:  Hey, look at me.  You didn't have to show me anything because I'm sure any dress would look good on you.  Besides I really like the gown with the first design.  Seriously, it looked good on you.  You are not just beautiful but you were hot and I was surprised that you are not wearing a ball gown kaya lang ako nagulat.  Although that simplier design is more you, so I liked that better.

Mandie:  Thanks!   The truth is, I liked the ball gowns better. But, I read somewhere that being on a date you will have to consider your dates thoughts and feelings.Including what he's friends would think.  Naisip ko, you are a Senior most probably all your classmate will date seniors. I'm sure they will dress up elegantly baka mamaya mapahiya ka if I dress differently.  So I asked around some Seniors that I know and all of them are wearing a cocktail gown to the Prom. So I did too.  So I can fit in for you.
