I'm sorry.

Peter really didn't know how, out of all people, he got stuck on an island with Flash.

All he knew was that he was out Spider-Manning and he followed a helicopter which had a captured victim. Obviously that didn't slide with him, so he tried to save the victim.

Long story short, the helicopter crashed and Peter was able to save him and the victim just in time as the helicopter slammed into the sand, fire spreading. Peter coughs as he lifted his mask just over his mouth, struggling to breathe. He drags the person with the bag on their head a large distance away from the flames and unties their wrists.

Well, the person took off the bag and looked at Spidey, and let's just say Peter had to literally bite his tongue to keep from screaming as Flash blinked at him.

"T-thanks for s-saving me," Flash says shakily, his eyes wide with fear. Peter frowns, feeling sympathy.

"No problem," Peter says dismissively, standing up and looking around. Great. He was too far away from the city to swing back, which means he's probably too far away from WiFi towers to contact Tony for a ride. He's not getting home for a while. He turns back to Flash.

He holds out a hand for him to take, which Flash shakily takes to stand up. Peter must admit; Flash is acting a lot different from how he usually acts. Then again, his usual behaviour reaches the bar of 'a practiced cool only the deeply flawed can master', so Peter doesn't think anything more of it. Still, it is pretty weird.

Peter yawns. "Basically the situation is, we're gonna be stuck here a while. The city is too far away to swing back, and I can't reach a signal. I'm going to start building a shelter. Could you collect firewood?"

Flash nods quietly and walks away. Peter nods once and begins collecting materials.

Their shelter ends up being broken logs webbed together and a leaf 'ceiling'. It keeps rain away, and it comfortably holds 3 people. It's pretty spacious, which Peter takes as a plus.

He takes the firewood from Flash, which ends up being a small armful. It isn't enough. Peter smiles gratefully, keeping in mind that Flash was just through a traumatic experience. He quickly finds more firewood as the sun goes down.

Peter sets up the fire and lights it with the flames from the helicopter, so it burns pretty quickly but leaves a sour scent of burning rubber in the air. Peter scrunches his nose in disgust, but Flash remains neutral. He reminds himself of his hightened senses.

Flash shivers and hovers closer to the flames. Peter suddenly realizes this is the first time he was around Flash and his spidey senses didn't go off. He makes a mental note of this.

"So," Peter coughs. "Um... What's your name?"

"Eugene."

Peter stutters. "Cool."

"What about you?"

"My name?" Peter laughs. "Spider-Man."

Flash laughs. "Well, I know that, I'm a pretty big fan."

"...really?" Peter asks softly, grinning.

"Yeah. I think you're pretty cool," Flash sniffs. "Saving people and all."

"Thanks." Peter says awkwardly.

It's quiet.

"Anything other than my name you want to know?" Peter asks, giving Flash a chance to ask his apparent idol anything he wants. He snickers mentally, knowing that Flash's idol is coincidentally the kid he bullies. Funny, how the world works.
