Wednesday
Ugh. I was 1 minute late. :(
When I arrive, the participants seemed excited for the awarding. I brought my Yakisoba to eat for breakfast. I was preoccupied that I mixed the sauce even before I poured out the water. But it tasted the same actually. We had Kuya Bernie as our service driver. And we reached Mandaluyong like we were up for the round trip.
I was observing the kids. Especially Trisha and Prince. I really find it weird that they weren't that close. Well, maybe... Because both of them are not expressive. However, I noticed how Prince treat his little sister. Ang sungit niya kay Trisha. Bakit kaya? Hm...

Unfortunately, hindi ko magawang iwan ang mga bata at magpaalam na half day para sunduin sa airport si Tita Edna. I hope everything would be just fine for her flight going here in Manila. I contacted Lois and have her mom assist Tita. I am very sure they would do something that I can't, for Ervien.

The kids were confused where we're going and T. Donna and I just told them to be quiet about it. It's almost an hour before we reached Makati High School.
Mommy Penuliar was actually there. She's very supportive with her children. The program already started but we're just on time for the announcement of winners. Everyone of us was thrilled when we heard Trisha's name being called for the Feature Writing. T. Donna and I misunderstood 7th for 2nd. We waited as the winners being called one by one. Mommy Penuliar and T. Jean were so proud when Prince Penuliar was called as 4th place for Editorial Writing. Then afterwards, Princess Yasmin Caudilla as 4th place for Headlining and copyreading.
False Alarm when we heard Kristin's name being called. Turned out that the it's not her since the surname isn't Reyes and our school was not called.
As for the rest, they will still have a lot of opportunities. Besides, this is not the only contest they would be joining. This is just their training ground. Nevermind the sacrifices I made. All of us had at least one anyway.
We're still proud of them for their hardwork. We were glad that 3 of them will be joining to the Regionals.
Teacher Jean decided that we all take our lunch in Powerplant. Since Kuya Bernie didn't stay at MakHigh, we agreed to go for a walk since it's just near us. But when we went out the school, it suddenly rained. We came up with a solution to just ride a tricycle.
The pupils experienced another first. First back ride and first time to go out somewhere other than school during a school day.
We ate our lunch together at KFC. They took photos with Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo's human sized wood statue.
I was just surprised when an old man with his wife walked towards me and asked me with a smile on his face.
Old Man: "Sinong may birthday?"
Ako: "Ay, wala po. May contest lang po na sinalihan ang mga bata. Parang celebration lang po nila for their hardwork."
Old Man: "Mukhang masasaya sila. Nakakatuwang tingnan."

According to T. Jean, Kuya Bernie didn't want to fetch us in Powerplant so we needed to go back to the MakHigh. Unfortunately, it was raining that's why we stayed inside and have the pupils sit behind the mall's directory, beside the customer's help desk. After few minutes, the rained stopped. It's a good thing that we no longer need to go back to MakHigh, we just had a short walk towards J. P. Rizal Street and tada! Kuya Bernie arrived.
While on our way back to the school, the kids thought of a pass the message game wherein everybody joined. The first message was, starting from Una was 'Mastery Test today.' The message Princess received was 'pass the message'. Gia mistook the name of the game the message itself. We had our second round which started from Princess and ended with Una. The message was actually the title of this entry - which Allen misheard as "today is fat".
Scream: Today is Fun! ^*^
Us, teachers were glad that we arrived in the Branch with the good news. T. Josie asked that we post it to our bulletin. Some of the kids were able to continue their exams but the others were no longer in 'exam mode' so we let them go.
Teacher Riza handled both grades 2 & 3. It's just amazing how she can control them. They fear her. Once they see her, they stop talking and moving. She's just great. Really, really great.
I was able to get home early because T. Donna and I hitch hiked with the Sison's service. Kuya, the one who drives, (I didn't get his name) said T. Irma also did this before and added that I can always go with them when Gella is being fetched.
Aw. I like the idea but I need to tutor Hailey until 6:30 everyday. >_<
