There is this one girl I know, secretly in love with a boy.

Let us talk about her.

The girl, contented with the few moments she's together with the boy. They're in the same circle of friends. For him, she's always available. She will even give everyone gifts when there's occassion just to have an alibi so she can give him a gift as well. But his will be always different - always special.

She can't tell him how she feels. Maybe, never. Sadly. But that's the way it is. They're never meant to be. She wants to understand why.

She would rather listen to him telling her about the new girl he adores, than him asking her how's her life. She can't tell him how much she wanted to be that girl he is talking about. She always loves his random stories and crazy stuffs.

She loves to write stories. This, he knew. So he decided to give her a notebook on her 18th birthday. The girl was too happy that she would like to kiss him but did not do it.

On the first page, she wrote, "I chose to love you in silence, because in silence, nobody owns you but me." She added his name on it. The following pages has their conversation written. With complete dates and details. She's deeply in love with the boy. But she can't afford to tell him that. And I do understand why.

One night, she fainted. She's holding the notebook he had given her. Her phone dropped in the drainage near her. A good samaritan saw her and brought her to the hospital. He knows every people there because he is one of the doctors.

The samaritan/doctor took the notebook and scanned it to know if he can call somebody he can notify about the situation. Surprisingly, every pages of the notebook has the name of his son. My son.

-------------------------------------------------------

Yes. I am the good samaritan and the doctor. The boy she is talking about is my son. I just realized I have seen her before but I didn't pay much attention. I was too busy at the hospital. If I just knew, I could have save her. Earlier than just now. My boy, I remember him telling me he is in love with a girl but scared of telling her because he doesn't want to ruin the friendship. He asked me what can he give her as a birthday present and I asked him back, 'what's her hobby?' He then shouted, 'ah! I'll give her a notebook. I'll ask her to write us a story.' I saw him smiled. It was just last month. I told him that I would like to meet her. I did.

--------------------------------------------------------

I left the hospital with the notebook with my hand. Her family now with her. I called and asked my son to meet me. He said, "Wait Dad, she's not yet here. I am worried." I told him, "I know. Where are you?" Confused, he told me his location and I asked him to wait. I saw a trashbin, and I decided to throw away the notebook. With their story written in it. With the reason why she fainted.

My son. He must not know it. Her love will be forever a secret. I feel sorry for her. But I agree. They are never meant to be.
