Whole Again

Emilia was on her way home after the talk with David and Dan. She did not expect any of it. Rose playing dirty. They've known but that was much more than that. She checked the time on her phone. It was too late. Maybe she should not tell it to Kit. Not before Paris. That would destroy his mood, and he needs to shine there. That was an important movie for him. They've talked about it many times. He wanted to show himself in a different thing and it was his big chance. The audience in Toronto loved the movie, and needs his best self in Paris. No... she can't tell him what she got to know. Not now. Maybe after the premiere, before he arrives at New York. 

She was sitting in the taxi and her mind was racing. 
"It is the night of old hits" the sentence came from the radio. "So here's an old song from 2001, what was number one on the British pop list for a long time. 3 cute girls who can make you feel Whole Again." Emilia smiled when she heard the first pace of the song. 

2015 - BELFAST

"No Nath. I won't sing" Emilia told Nathalie in a bar. The place was rented for them. Only for the cast. They were having fun drinking and singing karaoke. 
"Please. I know you want it" she insisted.
"No. I did not drink enough to sing" Em laughed.
"Okay girls! Just do it!" Sophie told them. Nath and Soph grabbed a microphone, but Emilia still hesitated. Then Sophie told something to the DJ and he started it. 
"No way. That is age-old." Emilia laughed.
"As if you didn't know the text" Sophie frowned "Even I know." 

"If you see me walking down the street
Staring at the sky and dragging my two feet..." Nathalie started to sing, and smiled towards Emilia, showing her to go with her to the stage. Em shook her head. 

"And if you see me with another man laughing and joking
Doing what I can..." Sophie continued and walked to her. Grabbed her arm. She shook her head.

"Looking back on when we first met
I cannot escape and I cannot forget..." They were singing the refrain together and finally they can pull Emilia to the stage. All the cast and crew were laughing applauded them. Em rolled her eyes and looked to Nath. 

"You can make me whole again" she finished the refrain "your turn baby" she added and laughed. Em looked at the display for a second, just to be sure she knows it well. 

"Time is laying heavy on my heart" she started and smiled. She looked to Nath then Sophie they were cheering. "Seems I've got too much of it since we've been apart..." she stepped forward and continued.
"My friends make me smile if only for while..." she let her voice out. She had a great voice. Everyone loved it. And at the end of the line, she raised her head. She spotted Kit and her eyes stuck on him. "You can make me whole again" Em was smiling at him and Kit smiled back. The girls continued to sing the refrain, but Emilia totally forgot herself for a minute. She hated that even the lyrics fit them... she shook her head a bit, and looked away from Kit while the girls were walked closer to her and dancing. 

"You can make me whole again" they sang and then Nath pushed Emilia forward. "Your turn again." she told in the mic. 

"For now I'll have to wait... But, baby, if you change your mind don't be too late..." Em sang into the mic and then found Kit again with her eyes. 
"Cause I just can't go on, It's already been too long" she smiled a bit
"But you can make me whole again" their eyes were locked. They were not together. They were not a couple, but since Rose appeared in the picture, and tried to pick Kit up... she has a weird feeling. She was jealous or something. She knew sooner or later that moment came but she loved to spend her time with Kit. Even if they can't meet often. That was their first night in Belfast that year. She did not meet him for months, and she did not have a chance to talk with him that night. The girls were always around them. They were talking on phone, often, but that was different. Kit looked better and better through the years, and she hated to admit it.
