"Milly" Lola entered into the coffee shop and waved to her. She was on the phone, talking with her mother, about their charity. She showed Lola to wait a moment. Lola sat opposite to her and placed her bag to the chair next to her. She was looking at her friend. She looked tired and stressed.
"A coffee with milk and water please," Lola told to the waiter when he arrived to the table, and they were both looking at Emilia. She shook her head and continued the phone talk.
"No mom!" Emilia sighed, and held her forehead. "Yeah, yeah I know. I will," she told to her mother. "Everything is fine. Yes!" she started to lose her patience. "I love you too." she took a deep breath and put down the phone. "Sorry." she looked at Lola. "We are planning some money-raising campaign and... Mom... you know her." she smiled.
"Are you okay?" Lola frowned. "You look like shit."
"What are friends for?" Emilia made a face.
"Sorry, you know I am just honest." Lola shrugged her shoulder, then started to search something in her bag. "Where is that damn water," she stated.
"And what's wrong with you?" Emilia asked her.
"As if you didn't know." Lola laughed a bit and placed pills on the table from her bag. "We are having the period same time for years now." she continued talking. "I cramp all morning. I was surprised that you wanted to meet today, here." she laughed at her, and kept packing her bag. Em remained in silence, and her mouth falls open. Lola raised her eyes at her and frowned. "What's wrong?"
Emilia opened her mouth, but no sound came out from it. Lola immediately noticed that.
"Milly?"
"Fuck." she started to scroll through her calendar and her mind was racing.
"What is it? You..." Lola got her hand in front of her mouth and her eyes widen. "Do not say..."
"I am late. I..." Em tried to find the words.
"But you... you are taking the pills. Don't you?" Lola asked her.
"I do. Of course, I do. But... It's been two days, and... my period..." Emilia was clearly scared, and she grabbed her phone again.
"What are you doing?"
"I have to talk with my gynecologist." she answered quietly and dialed the number.

"Can I bring you anything else?" The waiter placed the coffee and the water in front of Lola, and looked to both of them.
"No. No. Thank you." Lola tried to send him away and pressed some money into his hand.
"Right. I ... I'll call him later then. Yes." Emilia told the phone and almost throw it to the table. "He is not in the office. He is only will be available tomorrow." She spread her hands and then placed her forehead to it. "I can't believe, I will... go crazy until tomorrow." she barely could talk.
"Okay" Lola grabbed her hand. "We'll go and get a test. And ... I am sure... there is nothing wrong." she tried to calm her down.
"Lola I can't be... pregnant." she lowered her voice. "It is not..."
"Just go and get a test. Okay?" Lola was looking into her eyes. "We don't have to worry about it... yet."

Meanwhile, they were walking towards the pharmacy Kit called her, but she declined the call. She was not able to talk with him. Not now.
"Okay, so..." Lola stopped at the entrance.
"I can't go there. I can't buy a test. Lola, it is not possible." Emilia shook her head, and she was totally puzzled. She couldn't believe it is happening with her. It can't be possible. They... she took the pills, and their life was a mess. She can't be pregnant. Not right now. Not in this situation. What would she tell to everyone?
"I go and buy it for you, okay? Just... stay here." Lol placed her hand to Emilia's shoulder. "Or... go home, and I'll be there soon okay? No one needs to see you. In such state." she caressed her head. "Go and ... I'll bring you the test, okay?" she was staring at her face. She nodded, and Lola turned to enter into the pharmacy. Emilia looked around, then she took some steps in the street. The realization hits her hard. She did not even have time, to notice her period is late. There were so many things in her mind. She continuously working, and she has to travel to Berlin in a couple of days. The promotion has not even really started yet. How will she do it, if she is... pregnant? It is not possible. No... there must be another reason. Maybe the stress, or her hormones... or... it can't be happening with her. That was not the right time. She wanted nothing else, just family and children with him, but not now. It was too soon. It... they are not even a couple in public, what if people start to notice it? What will they say? What this child is going to do with her carrier? Her reputation. Her phone was ringing again. She checked it, and it was Kit. Who else. She declined the call again, and she started to write a message to him.
"Call you later, don't worry. I am ok." she typed so fast to the phone, and she reached the entrance of her home.
