(Y/n)'s POV
"Alright, let's get started."
The boys gathered around, the setting sun casting a golden atmospheric glow around us. Fishing a speaker out of my bag, I placed it on the ground and turned to face the boys.
"This park is currently empty, save for the couple passerby's coming along. Your job is to gather a crowd."
"By doing a performance?" Nagi asked.
"Yes. You've been practising for the whole day. Now it's time to put that practise into good use. Feel free to dance and sing your own songs but I will be changing it every now and then. Some with lyrics, where you will improvise a choreography. Others without, meaning you will have to utilise your vocals to sing freestyle."Worry overcrowded their once nonchalant expressions. Flashing a reassuring smile towards them, I cocked a wink at Tsumugi, who simply met my smile with a confused frown.
"Alright, feel free to get started."
"But we're inexperienced," said Sogo.
"That's exactly why I'm having you guys do this. You need to get used to attracting people."
"But we're not gonna-"
"Let's do it," Tamaki exclaimed.
"You sure about this?" Sogo asked.
"I want to become famous. I want to go on tv and if this is what I have to do, then so be it. I don't give a damn about how 'inexperienced' we are."
"*smiles* That's the spirit."He nodded and stood in position. The others heaved a light sigh. The first song filtered through the speaker, IDOLiSH7's 'Monster Generation' drowning the area in a sea of melodies.
Tsumugi and I stood to the side, watching as a family of four curiously teetered over. The two small children immediately grew smiles on their faces as they watched the boys perform.
I subtly switched the song to one of background music. Riku took the lead, carefully choosing his words, hiding his insecurity under a soothing voice.
He stopped midway, sighing in frustration. I caught Tsumugi's arm as she took a step forward. She flashed a worried look my way, but I simply ignored it.
"You can do it, onii-chan!" exclaimed the young boy.
"Yeah, come on!" added the girl.Iori stood forward, slow yet heartwarming lyrics filling the park as I changed the melody to slow background music. Shooting a quick glance towards Riku, he bent down to sing to the children.
Riku subtly regained his posture and joined in, a large smile gracing his face. He held a hand to the young girl, who took it with an overjoyed grin as he sang soft lyrics for all to hear.
The others took their part and stood with the two, Nagi attracting two teenage girls with a flirtatious wink as Mitsuki and Yamato gestured towards a couple of young boys.
Sogo and Tamaki took the manager's hands, leading her to the centre as I smiled and nodded to ease her uncertainty. Her surprise wavered and melted into warmth as the two sang around her.
Switching the music to Trigger's 'Secret Night', I was left in shock as both the two managed to dance the choreography in a flawless manner. The others stood back to watch as they danced and danced and danced.
Crowds gathered, people applauded...and everyone enjoyed themselves. At last, I played one of their songs, 'Dancing Beat'. Their transition was quick, their singing and dancing upbeat and energetic.
I caught sight of Gaku-nii in the crowd, his face hidden underneath a mask. He flashed a small wave before disappearing from view. A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips.
~After their small performance~
"You guys did great!"
"Thanks, we wouldn't have had this experience if it wasn't for you," replied Riku.
"You're very welcome. You performed better than I expected. It's already late. Go home and have a rest."
"Sure thing, bye (Y/n)-chan," Tamaki said.Watching everyone depart, I turned and began to walk in the opposite direction. The cool night breeze aroused my curled hair, running its slender fingers through the threads.
A small, content sigh escaped my lips as the afternoon's events ran through my mind. The boys performed better than my expectations, inevitably raising the standard to which I would continuously push them towards.
I pushed the door open, only to meet the gaze of my angered father, his eyes a living fire. I quietly headed inside, walking to the lounge room, where Tenn, Gaku-nii and Ryuu were waiting.
"What do you want? These dorms don't just house your blood family so at least have some common courtesy."
"You have the nerve to teach me about manners? Don't make me laugh," he growled.
"Get to the point. Why are you here?"
"I heard that you were the main female lead in Trigger's music video."
"So what if I was?"
"How many times do I have to tell you that you cannot risk doing that?!"
"Why? So that you can save your own skin? People are going to eventually find out about my relation to you and mother."
"Tch, ungrateful daughter."He caught my wrist, tightening his grasp. My eyes clashed with his unwavering gaze, his fiery temper ready to pounce on my very soul. I didn't move back, I didn't show fear.
"I also saw that idol group of yours in the park. I'll ruin them before they can debut."
"I can't believe you have to scoop so low. Do you honestly have no trust in Trigger?"
"You-"Gaku-nii ripped his arm off my own, his broad-shoulders shielding me from father's attempt to slap me. I stepped forward, only for his hand to grasp my own and hold me back as father's hand met his cheek.
"Leave," Gaku-nii exclaimed.
Father stood a moment longer before taking his leave. I opened my mouth to speak but Gaku-nii simply gave a tired smile before heading to his room.
Ryuu and Tenn waited, waited for me. I bit my lower lip. My legs trembled. My hands slowed...and lastly, my vision blackened and stole my consciousness.
