(Y/n)'s POV
~One week later~
My upper body moved forward, draping across the leather sofa as the photographer snapped another shot. Pulling the glasses down to rest on the bridge of my nose, I turned to directly face the camera.
I moved to sit on the sofa, crossing my legs and leaning on my arm as a piercing smile graced my face. The director gave a thumbs up before I stretched my arms, hurriedly catching a bottle of water as it came flying my way.
"A little warning would've been nice."
"A 'thank you' would've been nice," Tenn teased.
"So what are you doing here?"
"I had to do something nearby and thought I'd come in for a visit afterwards."
"Are you finished for the day?"
"Yeah, what about you?"
"No, I still have to go supervise IDOLiSH7 at their song recording."
"Ah, right. You're still working as their assistant manager, aren't you?"
"Yeah, want to come along?"
"Sure, I don't mind."A young girl, seemingly new here, hesitantly handed my clothes over, stealing all too obvious yet harmless glances at the idol standing beside me. Tenn offered a dashing smile as the girl's face flushed tomato red.
"Want his signature?"
She turned to me, her mouth dropping open.
"Here you go," said Tenn.
"T-thank you!"She bowed deeply before rushing off to her friend staring wide-eyed at the exchange we just had. A grin appeared on my face as I headed to the change rooms.
Before long, we were walking down the street with masks and sunglasses over our faces to conceal our identities. The soft breeze tugged at my hair, the scent of crisp nature mixing with industrial smoke coating the air.
I grasped Tenn's sleeve as the streets began getting more populated. He slowed down to match my pace as we squeezed through the somehow already busy paths, managing to arrive at the venue a few minutes late.
We were shown to the recording room, where Tsumugi was already overlooking their session. A smile instinctively tugged at my lips as she waved to greet us. Tenn and I peeled the masks off, watching Riku behind the glass.
The red-haired idol's eyes widened as they landed on his brother, who stood leaning against the wall, silently making judgements behind a neutral expression.
He eventually finished his respective part, rushing out to happily greet Trigger's centre. An eased smile appeared on the older idol's face, growing a familial attachment to the brother he painfully abandoned.
"Tenn-nii, you came to visit?" Riku asked.
"More or less. I just followed (Y/n) here."
"Cool, any tips?" Tamaki said.
"Are they on break?" I asked Tsumugi.
"Yeah, for fifteen minutes," she answered.
"Can I see the music sheet?"Sogo passed the paper over to Tenn, who quietly read through the notes, his sharp eyes carefully examining the melody. A small, almost imperceptible smile graced his face.
He opened his mouth, effortlessly singing the chorus with the skill he held so dear. The entire room melted into silence as the melodious lyrics enchanted everyone within earshot.
"Was that how you wanted it to sound?" Tenn asked.
"Y-yes, that was amazing!" Sogo replied.
"I was imagining it to be a little different. Of course Tenn's singing is great but..." Nagi started.
"Some of the notes would be better in a different position?"
"We'd expect nothing less from you," said Yamato.Tenn took a seat with Nagi looking over his shoulder as the two discussed the required changes. I smiled upon witnessing their casual yet focused teamwork.
The others scattered to grab a quick drink before a hand found its way to my own. Iori offered a grin as a light greeting, surreptitiously tugging my hand to make me turn my head.
Riku stood beside the male, his fists continually clenching and loosening. His eyes trailed his brother's movements, the subtle longing apparent in his large, innocent gaze.
"Aren't you going to talk to him?"
"Huh? Who?" asked Riku.
"You know who I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure he won't mind."
"Of course he will. I don't know as much as him and I don't want to get in his way-"
"Then show him that you're not here to play around."
"But..."
"Come on, what happened to all your confidence?"
"Yeah, I'm not seeing any 'it's Tenn-nii!' or 'I love my brother even if he rejects me' vibe coming from you, Nanase-san," Iori added.
"Hey! That's mean."
"Aren't you upset that he's focused solely on work? Go show him what you've got."I gave the red-haired male a much-needed push. He stumbled towards them, bumping into Nagi's back. Tenn turned his gaze to his younger brother, concealing all emotions behind a wall of cool indifference.
Riku managed an awkward greeting as Nagi happily invited the male to sit, oblivious to the awkward tension rising between the siblings. A laugh escaped my mouth as Nagi cheerfully made the two sit side by side.
"Oh, how cute! I have a great idea! How about you two work together?" Nagi suggested.
"Huh?!" the two replied simultaneously.
"See? Perfectly in sync."
"Oi (Y/n), you're not supposed to be laughing," Tenn exclaimed.
"I think Iori's laughing at my suffering..." muttered Riku.I heard a camera click beside me as Mitsuki hurriedly snapped a shot of the two. He held a finger to his lips before quietly sneaking off to some other corner of the room.
My phone started ringing at that moment before I answered the call from Gaku-nii. His last job required a short appearance on a variety show but he had nothing else scheduled, so my mind struggled to find a reason for the call.
"You're needed for an interview," he exclaimed.
"Eh? I didn't hear anything about this."
"It was decided last minute. They want to interview us together."
"Okay, I'll be there. Where's it at?"
"I'll send you the address."I hung up. Iori looked at me before I told him about the last minute interview. He gave my hand a squeeze.
"Have fun," he said.
"You too."
"(Y/n), have you seen Tamaki anywhere?" asked Sogo.
"No, why?"
"I can't find him. He's not picking up his phone either."
"*sigh* Alright, I'll see what I can do."
"Sorry..."
"No, don't worry about it. He's probably gone to get some snacks. I'll check on the way."
"Thank you."
