(Y/n)'s POV
Night had fallen and so had the temperature. I shrugged off the cold as if it'd leave my shoulders. Most of the others had already left by the time I was finished, and so I began walking to the bus stop alone in this cold, windy night.
I stuffed my ice-crusted hands into my pockets and walked as I let the wind ruffle my hair. The sheltered structure of the bus stop came into view and so did a certain black-haired male.
His cool-coloured eyes met mine as a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. He was alone. I offered a smile of my own and went to his side, unintentionally keeping a small distance between our bodies.
"Hey."
"...I was waiting for you," he stated.
"Why?"
"*blush* D-does it matter?"
"Mmhmm. Now that you're flustered, I'm curious."
"I was just worri-"He shut his mouth before he had a chance to continue. I felt my heart beat in rapid succession. I smirked, hoping to dispel the feelings welling up in my heart.
He unwrapped the scarf around his neck and pulled it around mine, gently securing it tight. A light blush tinged my cheeks. His fingers felt warm as they grazed the side of my cheek, his gaze lingering on my face.
He inched closer until our noses were almost touching. His eyes held a question, a question I had wondered for a long time. Was this okay? I didn't know. I honestly didn't know.
Naomi's warm smile flashed before my mind. I held my breath. Iori seemed to notice my hesitation, mistaking it for my reluctance and feelings of indifference towards him.
He suddenly placed a light kiss on my nose, a resigned grin on his face. Was he giving up?...Was this really the end for us? His warmth still lingered even after he pulled away. I...longed for his touch.
"It looks like your bus is here," he exclaimed softly, not wanting to break the resigned peace.
"Yeah..."
"I..."
"Yes?"The bus pulled to a stop. A familiar face greeted me through the window. I looked back at Iori, only this time, a practised, polite smile had taken the place of his casual grin.
I see...this really was the end. He muttered a gentle goodbye. I pulled on a bright, nonchalant smile and turned away, reaching for Momo's outstretched hand.
"Yo (Y/n)-chan, aren't you surprised that I came to pick you up?" he asked cheerfully.
"Yeah, do you really have that much free time on your hands?"I could tell that he was pouting beneath the mask. Iori waved as the bus lurched forward, his figure becoming smaller and smaller. I felt my heart rip in two. No...I couldn't do this now. I had other things that had to be done.
Momo pulled me into a seat down the back, seeing as how we were the only people on the bus. I felt his head slump onto my shoulder, his breathing rhythmic and even. He was tired from work yet he still came to see me...
I squeezed my hands tight. Now that Iori and Naomi...weren't my concern anymore, I had to focus on things that were important. Momo's hand suddenly found my own as he frowned in his sleep.
A nightmare...huh? It seemed to pass as that oddly gentle look graced his face once more. The bus swayed as it travelled along the road and down the street I had come to familiarise myself with.
~The next day~
"Oi Gaku-nii, they're calling for you."
"*sigh* Alright."I watched as he left to go get himself ready, the makeup artists and hair stylists all waiting for him. None of them spoke much, and neither did he. He seemed content to let them do as they wished, happy to get this TV program event done and over with.
A short girl inched closer to me, taking the seat that my brother had left unattended. I offered a smile, to which she shyly replied with one of her own. Her eyes soon drifted back to my 'overly handsome' brother.
"Are you interested in him?"
"Eh? Ah, I um...I...yes," she stuttered.
"He's a little on the rough side. Just a heads up," Tenn exclaimed as he came over. The girl's face immediately flushed a bright tomato red. I smacked him on the arm. Clearly he did not think of how his simple statement could be interpreted in another way.
"K-Kujo-san, I um didn't-"
"I'm sorry, that wasn't what I intended to say," he apologised.
"What's up?" Ryuu asked.
"T-T-Tsunashi-san!"The girl stood up and bowed, quick to leave the scene. A sigh escaped my lips as we all watched her scurry back to her coworkers, who immediately crowded the shy girl.
"You two do realise that you're top idols, right?"
"Yeah?" Ryuu began.
"From what I could see, she almost had a heart attack."
"What? I didn't do anything though..."
"Just your presence is enough to overwhelm your fans..."The tall male smiled apologetically at the girl as she looked over. Her eyes quickly averted his gaze, glancing over me as I sat next to two of Japan's most famous idol celebrities. This was fine...I was only their assistant manager after all.
"Oi Ryuu!" Gaku-nii called.
"Guess it's my turn."
"(Y/n), your father called. He's assigned a task to you," exclaimed Anesagi.
"What task?"
"He wants you to organise Trigger's next concert."
"Okay."I grabbed the files from her, looking over the details.
"Will you be alright?" asked Tenn.
"Who do you think I am? Of course I'll be fine."He didn't seem too convinced but let a smile break out nevertheless. His hand came to rest over mine, giving it the familiar reassurance I had come to love.
Anesagi subtly moved to the side as the director walked past, hiding our clasped hands. I flashed a grateful grin yet she simply sighed before walking away to deal with other matters.
"Tenn-nii?"
