(Y/n)'s POV
"What?! Ban dancing and singing until Trigger's next concert?!" Tamaki asked.
"Yes, that's exactly what the manager is implying," replied Iori.
"B-but..." Riku started.Iori met my gaze, telling me all I needed to know. Tsumugi's flabbergasted expression clearly did not indicate her as having suggested such a thing. Tamaki suddenly took a hold of my sleeve, his brows furrowed and a frown adorning his face.
"Tell me the manager's not serious. You're the assistant manager. You should have a say in this," he argued.
"I'm sorry, Tamaki but I'm afraid you'll have to do as she says."
"Ugh!"
"We still have to go to school so just use that as a distraction," said Iori.
"Leave the tickets to me."
"Don't worry, (Y/n). It'll fall under company expenses," Tsumugi exclaimed.
"No, I insist. Surely you wouldn't doubt me."
"The tickets are expensive, aren't they?"
"My father will take care of it."Flashing a charming, confident smile, I managed to dispel their skepticism. However, Iori challenged my proclamation despite the calm composure in which he had taken the role of.
I left the boys to manage their schedules. Perhaps telling Anesagi in person would be better. I didn't want to deal with her scolding but sending a mere text message would worsen it.
Trigger had a mini concert today. I was left with no option but to wait until their busy schedule had cleared up. Unease clouded my thoughts in the sudden moment.
It seemed that Gaku-nii was still silently nitpicking at my daintiness. But he was a professional, they all were. I trusted him. Despite his stubbornness and tough attitude, I knew what he was like.
Fingers wound around my wrist, startling me. I immediately pulled them over, pushing them up against the wall before aiming a backslash towards the perpetrator. Recognising the male trapped in my grasp, I quickly released my hold.
"I'm so sorry."
"Do you take karate lessons? Your reflexes are fast," he said.
"Are you hurt?"
"No but next time, I suggest you identity the person before randomly assaulting them."
"Sorry."A slight blush formed on my cheeks. This was rare. I was usually aware of my surroundings. I usually knew how to behave in various situations. Perhaps...I really was stressed.
"Did you need me for something?"
"You know what I'm going to ask," he answered.
"That information is confidential. You're going to be an idol. You shouldn't cross the line."
"(L/n)-san, I am fully aware of what you mean but-"
"I have no interest in your private life so I suggest you don't pry into mine. This is strictly business."The sharpness in his eyes became ever more apparent, appraisal visible behind the cold exterior. A small ache arose in my chest. I had...hurt him. But this was necessary. I could not have them knowing my background.
My ringtone sliced through the thick tension like a knife cutting through butter, startling the both of us. My gaze flickered to the screen, a split second of surprise flashing across my face.
Bowing towards Iori, I quickly excused myself as I put the phone up to my ear. Smiling, I greeted my mother with a casual 'hey'. Her familiar voice released the tension in my heart.
"(Y/n), how's it going?"
"Could've been better, but nevermind me. How's everything in America?"
"Couldn't have been better...but I do wish you were here too."
"I'll definitely visit sometime. Look forward to it."
"*laughs* I will."
"How are Isaac and Violet?"
"They're doing fine. Vi's been saying how she wanted to see you, and although he doesn't show it, I'm sure Isaac feels the same."
"What about Mr Anderson?"
"Oh, he's fine with you coming by if you can."
"I...miss you."
"I miss you too...next time you come, maybe you could take Gaku with you and introduce him to Violet and Isaac."
"I will."
"I have to go. Talk to you later."
"Okay, bye."Clutching my phone in my hands, I shut my eyes, desperately trying to keep in the tears. I...wasn't sure when I'd be able to visit them. A sudden realisation hit me then. I was torn. I...didn't know who my real family was...
Iori's POV
I headed to the rooftop, stopping just short of the doorframe as my gaze travelled to the girl who stood near the fence. She had an arm against it, tilting her head down as if trying to hold back...from releasing her emotions.
Her legs trembled slightly, her hands in fists. She looked weak, weaker than I had ever seen her before. I soon felt my anger and indifference dissipating as I watched her from afar.
Her words had stung despite my wanting to feel nothing about it. She...had no interest in my life...and neither should I have any in hers. Yet why did it feel as if I opposed that very idea? What was she doing to me?
"Iori? Came here for a breather?" (Y/n) asked, her soft violet eyes searching for an answer in mine.
"Yeah. Sorry, I thought no one was here."
"No, I was just about to leave. Well, see you later."Her arm brushed past mine, igniting a myriad of sparks to go off underneath my skin.
No one's POV
(Y/n) made her way through Yaotome Productions, to where she knew Trigger would be. She knew that their concert had finished and so they had most likely come back here to practise.
"(Y/n), how nice of you to join us after the concert," commented Anesagi.
"Are you suggesting that you're incapable of handling such a small feat by yourself?"
"Ugh, this girl! I can never get through that illogical yet logical reasoning of yours."
"*laughs* It's a strength of mine."
"Geez..."(Y/n) settled into the seat beside Anesagi, watching the staff busy themselves with their daily tasks. Trigger was in the practise room next door.
"Get me eight tickets for Trigger's next concert," she exclaimed.
"What? What do you need those for?" Anesagi asked.
"Do I really need to say?"
"I doubt you have eight friends."
"Mmhmm, continue with your deductions."
"Don't tell me...they're for that other idol group you're looking after?"
