(Y/n)'s POV
~A few days later~
I was fuming, and this was defiantly not a good sign. Anesagi made sure to stay out of my way whenever possible and I didn't blame her. I was a ticking time bomb, waiting for the right moment to explode.
While scribbling nonsensical lettering onto a sticky note, I waited for the CEO to pick up. One, two, three rings. My patience was barely keeping me sane. It had already been four days and this so-called CEO had kept pushing back this desperately vital phone call.
"Hello, this is Mr Junichiro's (made-up character) secretary speaking."
"This is (L/n) (Y/n)."
"Ah, I'm sorry. He'll get in touch with you shortly."
"How long does he intend to drag this out? I've been-"
"I'm terribly sorry. I cannot do much except remind him of your urgent call but I'm afraid you'll have to just wait a little while more."
"*sigh* Alright, bye."That was when my phone started ringing. I reluctantly picked up, drained by the numerous phone calls I usually made to that stubborn CEO. Father's name flickered on the screen as I answered the call.
"Yes?"
"That old man still refusing to talk?" he asked.
"Ha, you two must be long-lost brothers. You're both incredibly stubborn."
"Oh, lucky you. Look who you took after."
"Hmph."
"So why are you just sitting there sulking? You either get it done by the end of the week or there'll be severe consequences."He hung up. I almost threw my phone across the room. Ryuu came in as I clutched it tightly, my arm raised above my head before the momentum died, and I dropped my phone onto the desk.
He simply looked confused as he crossed the room in long strides and set a cup of (f/d) down. I thanked him and gulped the whole thing down.
"You know, you're gonna be growing white hair by the time the president comes back," he commented.
"I'm never doing this for him ever again. He can go battle it out with other old men all he wants."
"Why don't you just go to Mr Junichiro's office?"
"Huh? That just proves that I'm an impatient child, and it's rude to do so without making an appointment beforehand."
"I can just imagine Gaku doing that though..."
"*laughs* You're right."I stood up and went to sit beside him on father's couch. I leaned my head against his arm as the fatigue finally caught up to my now exhausted mind. What a shame. I had so much work to do...
Ryuu's POV
(Y/n)'s eyelids drifted shut as she was lured into a deep sleep. I caught her head as she fell and moved so that she was cradled in my arms. She was thinner than before, her skin paler. Though she hid it well, she was exhausted.
Nowadays, she slept in the office in hour intervals whenever she had the chance. If only that CEO hadn't pulled out... It didn't help that he only did it because of (Y/n)...she must be overwhelmed with her inexperience...
The door suddenly opened before a head poked through. I turned only to see Riku and Tamaki smile in greeting. I offered a smile of my own before holding a finger to my lips.
"Is she asleep?" Riku asked.
"Yeah."
"We brought food," Tamaki said as he placed a bag of takeout on the low table.
"Damn, she looks like a ghost," commented Riku.
"I know, right? She'd definitely pass out if no one was here to take care of her," added Tamaki. He took the containers of food out and placed it on the table before grabbing his serving. Riku scolded the male for eating but soon it was his own stomach that ended up grumbling.
I let out a laugh as he blushed in embarrassment. Tamaki smirked as Riku pouted and averted his gaze. I nodded towards the food before the two dug in like starved children.
(Y/n) shifted in her sleep before edging closer as she shivered. Sweat had formed on her face and she was getting restless. Her eyes suddenly shot open before she grudgingly sat up and looked around.
"Oh, hey guys," she exclaimed sleepily.
"We got you food," Tamaki replied.
"Are you okay?"She turned to look at me before a small smile graced her face. Her eyes told otherwise but I returned the gesture with a smile of my own. Tamaki placed a bowl of udon in her hands.
"You guys should've woken me up."
"You looked really tired," Riku replied.
"I'm always tired so-"(Y/n)'s POV
I quickly excused myself and went to answer the ringing phone, hoping desperately that it was Mr Junichiro who had finally decided to call. With a deep breath, I greeted them with a polite hello.
"Miss (L/n), there's a delivery that needs your signature. Do you have time now to sign?"
"Yeah, bring it to my office."A sigh left my lips as I leaned back in father's comfy chair. Tamaki crept up to the desk and slid the udon towards me. I laughed as he did so and gratefully ate the dish that they bought.
"Are you waiting for a call from someone?" asked Riku.
"Yeah, we need a sponsor for Trigger's concert. Oh, that reminds me, how's your practice going, Ryuu?"
"I was just about to go back. Wanna come watch?"
"Come on, (Y/n), you need a break. Let's go!"
"Hang on!"I was left with no time as I gulped down the udon and let Tamaki drag me to Trigger's practice room. Various staff greeted me along the way, to which I hurriedly replied with a quick smile.
Gaku-nii and Tenn looked up from where they were sitting as we entered. I gestured for the others to talk. They happily obliged and informed them of their delightful endeavour to learning new dances under the supervision of the president.
"Well, now that we have an audience, we can't make any mistakes," Tenn exclaimed with a smile.
"You're damn right about that," Gaku-nii replied.
