(Y/n)'s POV
I was scared. My body wouldn't stop trembling. The scene in front of me wouldn't disappear. Nothing, not the darkness nor the demons hiding within my memories, would leave me alone.
The leader laid knocked out in the corner of the room, where his subordinates had grudgingly dumped his body. I curled into a ball, willing their figures to disappear; to stop midway and crumble into dust.
Their bats dragged across the ground, making loud, menacing noises as the two men neared. They cursed at me, sprouting words I couldn't hear over the fast beating of my heart.
"Oi, who's that?!"
My arms clenched around my knees even tighter than before. Thump went a body. Crash went the second. My own froze in fear, in anticipation...anxiety or acceptance for what I assumed to be death.
A sudden warmth engulfed my body as a worn jacket was placed over my shoulders. A soft voice whispered into my ear, breaking all the darkness clutching to my fear.
"It's okay now, (Y/n)."
My head shot up, hot tears instantly running down my cheeks. Iori cupped my face in his hands, careful to wipe my tears and leave the small cuts untouched. A relieved smile tugged at the ends of his lips.
The guards were unconscious, the small rise and fall of their chest the only indication to their life. I immediately threw my arms around Iori, basking in his scent.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Sorry I'm late."
"No-"
"...I'm sorry. This is all my fault. If only-"
"Iori, it's not your fault. Naomi did all this, didn't she? How is that your fault?"
"But-"
"I don't blame you."His lips slowly met mine, the kiss tentative and hesitant. I leaned in, not realising how much I missed him until this moment. A teasing lick on my lower lip sent shivers down my spine before I pulled away, much to his disappointment.
"We have to get out of here first."
"You're right, come on," he said.I gripped his hand as he lifted me to my feet. We quickly made for the door, hanging slightly ajar. There were numerous other guards standing outside who had replaced their fallen comrades.
"Oi, they're here!" shouted one.
"Quick, catch them!" ordered another.
"Like hell I'll let you!"My brother rushed past, slamming a fist into the man's jaw. Ryuu also joined him in the fray of flying fists and roundhouse kicks. Gaku-nii flashed a quick grin, which I returned with a smile of my own.
"Guys, this way!" Tenn exclaimed.
Iori wasted no time tugging me towards the exit, eager to help me escape this dark abyss. Tenn's hand soon came to grasp my other, offering a small reassurance on top of Iori's.
"Gaku! Ryuu!" he called.
"Alright, we're coming! Just let me beat these morons one more time!" Gaku-nii replied.
"Gaku!"
"Okay, okay!"Iori pulled me out of the building, with Gaku-nii and Tenn not far behind as Ryuu rushed to get the car. Our pursuers refused to give in, unaware of the anger that fuelled my brother.
Tenn immediately pushed me into the black vehicle whilst Iori climbed into the passenger's seat. As soon as Gaku-nii was on, Ryuu hurriedly accelerated and escaped this dark abyss.
I caught sight of the blood, the cuts, the bruises staining both Ryuu and Gaku-nii's hands. Glancing at Iori, I knew that he had fought as well. My heart broke. I longed for their rescue but not at the expense of their well-being...
Suddenly, my brother's larger, albeit bloodied, hand came to hold mine, stopping the inevitable shaking plaguing my body. He raised an eyebrow but a relieved smile hid behind his eyes.
"Cry, you idiot. You don't have to hold back," he exclaimed.
"I'm not holding back anything..."
"Your hands are shaking so much I'd think you'll be able to start an earthquake if I put you on the ground."
"Tch, says the person who's also shaking just as hard."
"He was really worried. He even cried on stage," Tenn explained.
"Eh?!"
"*blush* T-that's not true! I did no such thing!" Gaku-nii argued.
"...thank you everyone. Thank you..."The tears finally gathered before gently spilling over my face. I lifted our intertwined hands to hide the onslaught of tears as a soft sigh left my brother's lips. The risks they took to get me out, the pain they had to endure...I was truly grateful to have them...
"...how did you guys do it?"
"It was simple. We planned it together," replied Ryuu.
"Together?"
"Yeah, us, IDOLiSH7 and Re:vale."
"We started a concert to sway the public. Gaku revealed your identity to our fans, and so we're thinking they'll probably pressure the police into helping us," said Tenn.
"IDOLiSH7 and Re:vale started a live show, quickly throwing together a short drama. We wanted to convey our relationship to everyone. I think they were gonna reveal your identity at the end," added Iori.
"But there's a risk of backlash. You better prepare yourself for the criticism," Gaku-nii exclaimed.
"*smiles* Of course...I love you all...thank you."I leaned against my brother's shoulder, silently watching the cityscape pass by. Pedestrians roamed the busy streets, oblivious to the traumatic stress pushed upon my mind.
Gaku-nii unexpectedly lifted my chin up without warning, seemingly examining the small wounds on my face. I flashed a quick smile, hoping to seal away his pain.
"Oi, you're crushing my hand. I'm fine. You landed a few punches. Revenge has been taken care of."
"Wha...what the hell are you talking about?..." he muttered. The others simply laughed as a light blush dusted his cheeks. The rest of the ride went by in a flash before we arrived at Yaotome Productions. What were we doing here?
An enormous crowd had gathered outside the looming building. Everyone in the car let out a sigh, leaving me all the more confused. Gaku-nii reluctantly opened the door, stepping into the light.
Tenn quickly pushed a cap onto my head, shadowing my eyes. A small portion of the large crowd rushed over to swoon the members of Trigger as I tried to make myself as small as possible.
"Omg, are you (Y/n)-san?!"
"Heh, you look just like Gaku!"
"Is it true that you're dating Iori?!"Security guards came to push the crowd back as Gaku-nii jerked his head towards the entrance. I took a deep breath before walking, drawing on my acting skills to aid me.
