Virgil smeared his eye makeup down his cheeks, weakly wiping the salty liquid from his face.
He let out a shaky sigh, not sure who he was talking to. Nobody was in the room. Maybe he was talking to himself. Maybe he was going crazy.
Both could be justified.
He fell deeper into his thoughts. Memories of pain and suffering flashing through his head.
"Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop!" he yelled, tugging at the sides of his hair.
"Just stop..."
"Please..."
