James's POV

She jumped a little bit at the sound of my voice, she was afraid of me. I just acted like I've never seen her before, and it was better that way. I was near the building when I saw her coming out with her friend, it was the same girl from last night, I recognized her and then I followed them. Lucky me, they went to a Starbucks, I could go in right? It's a public place, coincidence... I gave them a couple of time and then I parked my truck in the parking lot pretending I was just arriving. I am a master at this stuff. I am even impressed. I caught her coming out only I couldn't give her the chance to leave.

"Hi!" I said giving her my best smile, that's when she jumped a little but then she looked right in my eyes and my stupid heart betrayed me. "I remember you from last night." I said trying to break the ice and then not giving her much time to think I invited her for a drink. "How about that drink now?" She was looking at me with such intensity that I swear she could see deep into my soul. She was for sure one of the few persons on this world who knew me quite well. When we became close friends I trusted her. What went wrong?

"I don't think so." She answered but her friend was such a great help.

"Come on. Have your coffee." Her friend insisted. "I have to go home now." And she left her there, planted right in front of me clueless of what to do. She was so lost I almost felt sorry for her but then I was James Hetfield right? I didn't feel sorry for anyone, not even for myself.

"A little coffee won't hurt, and I won't bite." I laughed. Andrea looked at me and sighed. God...her lips.

"Ok..." She whispered. I signaled her to walk up to her table letting her go ahead. On her back I just threw my fist in the air in victory. I must have looked ridiculous, but I didn't give a fuck. I was rich and famous; I could do anything I wanted. Andrea sat on a table right on the back and the waitress approached us.

"Your coffee." She said handing her a cup of black coffee. She liked it black just like me, sweet. Meanwhile I got the chance to order mine too.

"You were leaving without having your coffee." I commented.

"I was in a hurry." She said looking out at the street. I felt her tense not comfortable and talking to me but not being able to look in my eyes anymore. I need her to relax if she keeps on acting like this I won't be able to pull out a conversation. I don't need to talk to chicks, chicks talk to me. I can do this...I mean, I have a girlfriend. I convinced Francesca on a date and then I charmed her, so I can do this. I can relax a girl, Andrea. My Andrea...

"So you told me last night you were from LA. I was born and raised in LA. Which part of LA are you from?" I asked her. Andrea chocked on her coffee. IDIOT...that was not the way I was going to be able to relax her. Think James...you used to talk to her, she used to laugh...but that was way back in time. So many things have changed meanwhile, and I couldn't let her know I knew who she was. So, we were meeting...again.

"Yes, I was also born in LA, but I moved from there when I was almost turning 18." She said. What? She left town? I didn't know that! I disappeared right after I've find out she was dating the damn Indian.

"And where did you go?" I asked. Right James...right question.

"I moved to Montana with my parents. They bought a ranch there, then I came to law school here and I stayed." She said with a smile. Her smile is just so perfect. I could stare at her the whole day and then the whole night and then the whole day again.

"Wow...rollercoaster, LA then Montana then San Francisco. Nice ride." I joked.

"It had to be done." She said. I sounded bitterness on her tone, but I ignored it. "What about you?" She asked me.
