Middle of August and too hot for a pregnant woman with a huge belly like mine. Belle, Sarah and I were walking around downtown, looking for a dress for Belle. Metallica came back to the studio and to their working schedule as soon as life came to a normal pace. Sarah was doing alright and strong which put a rest in our life. Day after day, she'd feel better and the new bone marrow was doing its job. It had been just two months away, but I began to believe there would be no rejection. To tell the truth, I looked at my daughter and couldn't even tell she had been ill the way she did.

Like I was saying, Belle defied me to help her with her wedding dress, though I didn't feel like going, she was my best friend and I made the effort to keep her company. I had awaken up the morning feeling pain in my kidneys and wasn't feeling any good. The heat on the street was making everything worse for me.

"I need to sit Belle." I cringed a bit, taking a hand to my back.

"Are you alright Andrea? I mean you look a bit pale." She said.

"I am alright, it's just my kidneys, they're killing me. " I said. Sarah held my hand and looked up at me seriously. "I am fine sweetie, don't worry." I smiled at her. Belle looked around and found a place where we could sit.

"Look, there's a shadow over there and we can have an ice cream." She suggested. I nodded and took a hand to my forehead, to clean tiny drops of sweat. "You look pale Andrea!" She said grabbing my arm.

"Really, this boring pain is killing me." I muttered.

"I'm sorry I forced you into this." She complained.

"It's ok, I'll sit a bit and I'll be fine. The belly's just too heavy now, so my back hurts constantly." I said, only the pain was different. I sat on the chair and asked for a chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Belle chose vanilla and lemon and Sarah vanilla and chocolate. I felt better under the shadow and the ice cream was delicious, but the pain didn't subside or abandoned me, on the contrary, it was becoming stronger and stronger. "God..." I gasped feeling this teasing thin pain running over my back.

"Andrea, maybe we should go to the hospital." Belle said.

"Mommy, you're scaring me." Sarah said grabbing my hand.

"I'm fine sweetie, I am fine." I stood. "I need to pee." I told them, walking straight to the toilets after. I washed my face to refresh me and then clutched onto the basin as a strong pain attack me, it hit me what was happening there, but there was no blood, no waters broken, no nothing, so I just came back to them. As I sat on the chair, I felt more relieved and continued then to talk to them.

"Are you sure you are alright?" Belle asked me. I shook my head then. The pain was attacking my belly as well.

"I think I need to go to the hospital." I said. As I got up I felt something coming out and my jeans got wet. The waters had broken. "Yeah, I need a hospital." I confirmed. I puffed as the pain was upsetting me.

"Mommy?" Sarah said with a scary face.

"Don't worry sweetie, it's just Tyler that is going to be born." I caressed her face. Belle brought her car and I got in.

"Should I go fast?" She asked me.

"No..." I shook my head. "I can still cope with it." I told her taking a deep breath. Belle began to drive, and I looked for the cell in my purse. I called James. I had to let him know what was going on.

"Hi love." He answered the call visibly amused.

"Hi..." I said and then shut up as I needed to breathe a little as a wave of pain attacked me. It was getting stronger and stronger. "Babe...you need to go home and pick the two bags that are in Tyler's room, ok? I am going to the hospital right now." I said.
