When The Stars Align

Chapter 26

We fell asleep almost immediately. It was a wonderful sensation to feel his arm around my waist and his body curled over mine. It was true I was extremely tired and sleepy and so was he, but I don't remember of falling asleep so easily and so peacefully.

"Mom..." I heard her voice calling me and she was shaking my shoulder lightly. "Mom...open your eyes." She whispered. I turned on my back and rubbed my eyes unable to keep them open.

"What time is it?" I asked her because I was still feeling as if I hadn't had any sleep at all, then I remembered that James was on the bed by my side. I opened my eyes and he was sleeping peacefully on his stomach, his lips slightly parted and he puffed a little. He was just passed out.

"Eight o'clock." She said. "I am hungry." I pulled the covers away from me carefully and got out of the bed gently so James wouldn't feel me leaving. I grabbed her hand and went downstairs to the kitchen. Sarah sat silent at the table while I prepared her cereal bowl. I gave her the pill and then put the bowl in front of her and sat watching her eat in silence. I wondered if her silence had anything to do with James being in my bed and not taking it, I asked her.

"Is everything alright?" I asked first, maybe she would just tell me right away.

"Yeah..." She said looking at me briefly.

"Sarah, you're so silent." I commented.

"I am tired mom and sleepy. I want to go back to bed."

"Just that?" I was almost losing my touch and ask her clearly.

"Yeah." She said vaguely again.

"Ok...does this has anything to do with James and the fact that he is sleeping here?"

"No." She shook her head.

"Really? Are you ok with that?" I grabbed her hands and Sarah looked at me with her tired blue gaze.

"No mom, really. I know you like him; I am alright with that. I just feel sleepy and tired. I want to go back to bed. You don't mind that I went to your room right?" Now she was the one having doubts. Everything was new to her too. With Alex she would never ask me that, she knew she had to knock first and then she could go in, no one bothered but now with James, she didn't know if that was alright. I didn't know if she had knocked that time, maybe not as she thought I was alone or maybe she did, but I was sleeping and didn't hear her.

"No little bird, I don't mind that you go there." I smiled. "The rules are the same ok?"

"I knocked mom, but no one answered."

"I didn't hear you; you did good." I caressed her. Sarah had the rest of her meal in silence and I was almost falling asleep with my head at the table. She got up and put the bowl in the dishwasher and then we went upstairs. I tucked her in her bed and kissed her, turning the light off and closing her door, then I tiptoed in my room and slid inside the bed the gentler I could. I curled with my back turned to him but soon I felt his arm around my waist, and it was not the casual touch, he put it there deliberately, pulling me back against his body and his lips kissed my shoulder.

"Where were you?" He asked with a cute sleepy voice.

"Sarah was hungry, I went to give her breakfast. We only slept two hours." I told him yawning. James ignored it and continued kissing my shoulder and then he raised his head a bit and bit my neck making me shiver and giggle as it tickled. He took his hand to my shoulder and made me turn on my back, kissing my lips after.

"Aren't you sleepy?" I asked him when his lips left mine. He looked in my eyes resting a hand on my face.

"I am but I can't ignore that you are right by my side in that sexy gown and that it's been days since I last have made love to you." He said capturing my lips in a juicy kiss, leaving me no space for an answer. I took a hand to the back of his head and pulled him to me, our kiss deepened, and our tongues met and intertwined, clouding my thoughts away. His hand clutched onto my waist and he gripped tightly. The tip of his fingers digging and squeezing but not satisfied with that he slid the hand under my satin black fabric and ran is hand until he found the same spot he was gripping but this time directly on my skin. "Wanna?" He asked with a smirk when we broke the kiss.
