"Andrea..." He called my name when he closed the door of our room behind him. "Don't turn your back on me when I say I need to tell you something." He said, not mad, not in a pissed tone but normally. I was determined not to hear what he had to say, so I was picking up some stuff in the wardrobe and didn't look back at him, but I felt his presence right behind me. "Hey..." He said tapping my shoulder gently and his voice even sweet. I turned around then holding some tiny jeans in my hands and smiled.
"Look what I bought while you were on tour." I said trying to divert the subject. He grabbed the jeans and smiled looking at them. Then he put them on the bed and grabbed my hands. I took them away and walked up to the dresser. "I bought some more stuff...come here..." I told him. I noticed his disbelief look but he followed me, and I began to show him all the new baby clothes we had around the house, then he grabbed me stronger and took a deep breath looking at me.
"Andrea...please..." He pleaded.
"No..." I said. "Not now..." I pleaded back. We stared at each for a few seconds and then he nodded, pulling me to him. I buried my face against his chest and surrounded his waist with my arms and his own wrapped around my shoulders.
"I love you." He whispered resting his chin on the top of my head. "I just love you so much it hurts."
"That wasn't what you had to tell me." I said fearing the worst. Deep inside I had an idea, but I just refused to believe in that.
"Yes it was." He said firmly. Then he took a hand to my chin and pulled back a bit, made me look up at him and his eyes looked straight in mine. "I love you more than anything in this world." He said. "And that was what I wanted to tell you, nothing or anyone is gonna break us up because we're meant to be."
"You said you had to tell me something because you didn't feel good about it." I said, there determined to yank whatever it was from him. My fear became courage in his arms.
"It's nothing sweetie. Really..." He kissed the tip of my nose. "Don't worry about it." He said.
"I love you James." I said searching for eyes. He bent over my face and his lips kissed mine tenderly. For a moment I thought it was going to be just a peck, but he demanded more, and we kissed passionately. Body against body, arms wrapped around each other's, tongues intertwining and the problems on the back of our heads. He pulled away from me gently and rested his forehead against mine, his eyes closed, and I ran a hand over his face. There was no doubt for me he was regretting something, but that moment I didn't care about anything else but having him there with me.
"I didn't do anything wrong." He said as if reading my mind. "I remembered you, but I almost did." He confessed. As much as it hurt me a bit hearing he was tempted, I was thankful he was able to open up like that. "I'm sorry." He said.
"It's ok." I told him. "Being tempted is human..." I said. "You're just human."
"You're unbelievable!" He exclaimed.
"Just don't do anything bad enough to hurt me." I asked him.
"No..." He said. "I won't."
Our conversation came to an end and we went back to the kitchen so we could have dinner. I had hoped that Lars and Belle were able to talk and overcome their differences but clearly I was wrong. One could see they were not talking, as none of them exchanged a word during dinner and as soon as it was over Lars got up to leave.
"I'm going home." He said.
"Stay a bit longer." I asked him but he shook his head. Lars looked tired, exhausted even and sad.
