Vetri: Appuchi, have you seen Malar anywhere? I have searched the whole house but I cannot seem to find her.

Appuchi: Malar went to Rasadurai's house.

Vetri: Why did she go all of a sudden? Is Mama having any problem?

Appuchi: Vetri, are you and Malar having any problem? Malar told Naatarasan that you are aware.

Vetri: Nothing like that Appuchi. Malar must have mentioned it but I forgot about it.

Appuchi: Okay Vetri. I am going to go and sleep now. You should sleep early too.

Vetri: Okay Appuchi. Good Night.

Vetri heads back to his room and lies on his bed. He recalls the events that took place in the morning.

Ennai kollathey (Don't kill me)

Thalli pogaathey (Don't go away)

*Start of Flashback*

That morning, Vetri was getting ready to go out. Malar walks in to the room with a gloomy face.

Vetri: Malar, what happened?

Malar: Nothing

Vetri: Hey, not again. I thought we came to a conclusion of openly speaking if we have any problem. And the very next day, you do not want to speak.

Malar: Okay, I will tell you. Have you told me any other lies apart from your first love?

Vetri: I thought I made it clear to you yesterday that we will no longer revisit the past?

Malar: Then why am I hearing about your past? I have had three people tell me about you still being in love with Anjali.

Vetri who had been calm suddenly got angry.

Vetri: So you decided to believe other people over my words? If you did not trust me then why did you agree when I said that we will not talk about our past?

Malar: I have not finished.

Vetri: Malar, you do not have to say anything else. It is all my fault. I should have been selfish and not agreed to the family's request. We would not have been married and I would not have to hear all these questions about my character.

Vetri walks out of the room angrily.

Vetri sits up with a jolt. He realises that whatever he said in anger must have hurt Malar. That must have been the reason for her to leave the house and go back to Rasadurai Mama's home.
