Malar ends the call with Vetri and smiles while looking at her phone. Speaking to Vetri for just two minutes was enough to make her smile like a small baby.

When Malar and Vetri got married, she had no idea if she would even accept him into her life. In one year, everything had changed. Now, she knew that she could not live without him. The past two days had been a big torture for her. Although she knew that Vetri was away for something important, not speaking to him and seeing his face had taken a toll on her happiness.

The moment her phone rang today, Malar left whatever she was doing and had ran all the way to the room to pick up the call. Only after hearing Vetri's voice, Malar had calmed down.

It had taken Vetri a lot of self determination to not think about Malar constantly and focus on completing his trip to Palani. The moment he came down to the town area, he had taken his phone and called Malar. Hearing her voice made his heart flutter. He was finally going home to his Malar.

What had surprised him was that Malar had missed him alot. It was very evident in her voice. It gave Vetri more hope to convey his love to her. Vetri could not wait to go home and see Malar.

That night, Malar came into the room. Wherever she turned, she was reminded of Vetri. She knew that he would only be back in the morning. For the past two days, she was in her parents' house and being with everyone made it easier to handle the fact that Vetri was not around. However, today, she was back in their room and the wait was getting increasingly difficult. Malar walks to the cupboard and opens the door. She takes out Vetri's shirt and holds on to it. She then decides to sleep so that she could wake up early. She wears the shirt and falls asleep.

Yen veetil neeyum vandhu serum kaalam ekkaalam (When will the day come when you come to my house?)

Meanwhile, Vetri takes out his phone and looks at Malar's picture on his lock screen. He had taken the picture without Malar's knowledge during Aishwarya's wedding festivities. That day, Malar had been wearing a beautiful saree and the moment he had seen her, Vetri had almost forgotten to breathe. Vetri recalls everything that happened that day and smiles. His Malar was an angry lady but even then she was so beautiful.

Vetri then looks at the time. It was almost midnight. He knew he would be seeing Malar in a few more hours but time seemed to move so slowly. One year ago, he would have never imagined that he would be in love with Malar but time had changed everything.

The next morning, Malar wakes up extra early. She does the household chores and by 6.30am, she goes to the doorway. Vetri was not there yet. She paces up and down while constantly glancing at the wall clock in the hall and the path leading up to the house.

Almost thirty minutes later, she hears a sound outside. Malar runs out of the house. To her disappointment, there was no one to be seen. She turns back to leave when she hears her name being called out.

Malar turns around and sees Vetri. Her eyes meet Vetri's eyes. The two of them have a big smile on their face and everything around them became blurred. They were finally together and that was all that mattered.
