After a huge argument with Anbukarasi, Vetri had finally managed to bring Malar out of the house to attend her best friend's wedding in Chennai. However, when they reached the bus stand, the bus that they were supposed to take had already left.

Malar: Let's go home. I guess this was fated.

Vetri: No matter what happens, we are going to Chennai tonight.

Malar: That was the last bus. There is nothing that we can do.

Vetri: Give me a while.

Vetri picks up his phone and makes a phone call.

Malar gets into the car and Vetri drives off to Chennai.

Malar: We could have gone back and travelled in the morning. What was the need for us to travel at this time?

Vetri: If we had gone home, we would probably have had to forget about attending your best friend's wedding. The reason why Amma had a long argument today was to delay us.

Malar: But now you have to drive in the night

Vetri: Your job is to sleep. I will bring you safely.

Soon, Malar fell asleep.

It was about 2am in the morning. Malar who was sleeping on the seat at the back turns. She feels a little uncomfortable and opens her eyes. She looks around and remembers everything that happened the night before.

She sits up and looks at Vetri. His eyes were reddish yet he was wide awake and alert.

Vetri: Malar, what happened? Why did you wake up?

Malar: Aren't you tired?

Vetri: I'm okay.

Malar: Your eyes are red.

Vetri: Don't worry. I am fully awake and like I said, we would be in Chennai in the morning, safe and sound. Besides, nothing beats the feeling you get on long drives at night.
