Malar was folding her clothes on the room bed. She recalled the incident that happened the previous night whereby Vetri's mother had arranged for the first night ritual.

Vetri had initially come in to the room with a romantic look on his face and teased Malar. Malar was taken aback and got a little worried. Eventually, Vetri ended the teasing and had calmly told her to go to sleep without thinking much. Malar smiles upon recalling the previous night's incidents. Her Vetri was indeed well behaved. In fact, after whatever happened last night, Malar's anger on Vetri had completely vanished.

Meanwhile, Vetri was seated at his favourite spot in the house – the staircase landing at the terrace. He was also recalling the previous night's incident. Malar had been wearing a orange saree and the moment he had set his eyes on her, Vetri forgot to breathe. Seeing Malar nervous, Vetri had decided to tease her and pretended as if he was ready for the first night ritual. However, Vetri had already decided not to do anything that Malar was not keen about. As he moved closer, Malar's breathing gor heavy and she closed her eyes tightly in fear. Even though Vetri knew that Malar had visualised him negatively, he could never get angry with her. Instead, he was admiring her. When Malar opened her eyes, Vetri had told her to go to sleep without thinking much. That had left Malar shocked.

Although Vetri and Malar have been in close proximity, yesterday Malar felt strange to be so close to Vetri. It was a different kind of strange. As Malar picks up the clothes in the laundry basket to go and wash them, she sees Vetri's purple shirt and gets reminded of the strange feeling. Malar puts the other clothes down and picks up Vetri's shirt. She again gets reminded of how Vetri behaved like a complete gentleman and feels blessed to have had him as her husband. She knew that anyone else in that situation might have behaved differently. She embraces the shirt and whispers "Mama".

However, Vetri uses his hand to block the doorway. Malar looks up at him and when their eyes meet, she blushes. Vetri smiles and Malar quickly pushes his hand away from the door and runs out.
