Vetri had been looking around the temple for Malar. A while ago, he had seen her standing with the ladies but now she was nowhere to be found. It was a festive day hence the temple was extremely crowded. He had asked around but no one seemed to have noticed that Malar was missing. As time went by, Vetri was starting to get worried. He walks over to where the rest of the family was standing and before he could say anything else,

Pughal: Vetri, anga paaru.

Vetri turns and looks at where Pughal was pointing.

Vinmeen vidhaiyil nilavaai mulaithaen (With a seed from a star I sprung as a moon)

Penmeen vizhiyil ennaiyae tholaithaen (In this girl's fish like eyes, I lost myself)

Mazhaiyin isai kettu malarae thalai aatu (Hearing to the rain's music, oh flower acknowledge by shaking your head)

Mazhazhai mozhi pola manthil oru paatu (Like a child's speech, I have a song playing in my heart)

Ini neeyum naanum ondrai sernthaal kaathal irandu ezhuthu (If you and me join hands, love is a word with two alphabets)

There in the distance, he spotted Malar along with a group of ladies. Malar had a huge smile on her face and she was carrying a lamp. The lamp's brightness reflected on her face and she looked like an angel who was glowing. Vetri forgets to breathe and continues staring at Malar. It was only when Pughal nudged him that he realised that he was in a public place.

Pughal: Enna da, Anniya ippadi paarkura. Kovil da. Nyabagam irukkatum.

Vetri smiles sheepishly and his gaze goes back to Malar. Malar was always beautiful but today, she looked extra beautiful. Her eyes were filled with happiness and her face was illuminated.

Naan pesatha mounam ellam un kangal pesum (Your eyes speak my unspoken silence)

Unnai kaanatha neram ennai kadikaram ketkum (The clock question me for the time not spent with you)

Manal meethu thoorum mazhai polavae (Like the rain drops that jumps on dry sand)

Manathodu neethaan nuzhainthayadi (You came into my heart)

Mudhal pen thaane neethane ennakulthaane yerpanne (You are the first girl who I accepted)

Ini neeyum naanum ondraai sernthaal kaadhal irandu ezhuthu (If you and me join hands, love is a word with two alphabets)

All the ladies with the lamp head towards the inside of the temple and one by one, they arrange the lamps along the steps leading to the inner sanctum. All the while, Vetri's eyes were only on Malar.

Naatarasan: Vaanga ellarum deeparathanai nadakka poguthu. Poi saamiya kumbidalaam.

The whole family proceeds in and Vetri stands opposite to where Malar was standing. The two of them exchange glances leaving both of them with a huge smile on their face. They both knew that marrying each other was the best blessing that God had given them.

Oru pennaga unmel naanae peraasai kondaen (My feminine side is excessively desirous of you)

Unnai munnale paakum bothu pesamal nindraen (When I saw you in front of me, I become speechless)

Yetharkaga unnai ethipaarkiraen (Why am I yearning for you to be with me in everything that I do)

Enakkule naanum thinam ketkiraen (I am questioning myself everyday about it)

Inimael naanae neeyanaen (From now on I am yours)

Ivan pinnale povanae (I will walk my life with you)

Ini neeyum naanum ondrai sernthaal kaadhal irandhu ezhuthu (If you and me join hands, love is a word with two alphabets)

The Deeparathanai was shown and everyone prays. Vetri and Malar both thank god for the life they have. The priest then gives out viboothi and kungumam. After receiving it, the crowd disperses and Malar moves closer to Vetri. She extends her hand and as if cued, Vetri takes the viboothi and kungumam and applies it on her forehead and hairline. The entire family then head out to get prasadam. After taking the prasadam, everyone settle down. Malar sits beside Vetri and just looking into his eyes, she knew that it was him that completed her.
