Vetri had been sitting at the terrace with his eyes closed and was deep in thoughts when his phone rang. Seeing the screen light up with that familiar name and picture made him smile wide. He answers the call.

For a whole minute, there was only silence yet with each passing second, the smile on Vetri's face grew wider. Without words, the two hearts communicated.

After a minute, the silence was broken.

A few hours ago, Malar had gotten into an argument with Vetri. She had just been recovering from a bout of flu and after a whole week, the two of them had gone out together. On the way back, they had passed by an ice cream parlour. Malar had insisted that they stop for ice cream but Vetri had refused. From there, Malar had refused to talk to Vetri and when he dropped her home, she had gone in without a word.

Hearing her giggle on the other end jolted Vetri from his thoughts. His Malar was still very much a child at heart and Vetri knew that he could never get angry at her. Even though Malar was at her house and he was at his, he could visualize her speaking and all the little expressions on her face.

When the call finally ended, Vetri looked at his wallpaper. It was the goofiest picture that he had of Malar and automatically a wide smile appeared on his face. Vetri knew that he was in for a lifetime of goofiness with Malar which he would never trade with anything. His heart was filled and he knew that he would sleep well tonight.
