It was only when Akila nudges her does she realize where she was. Immediately, Malar blinks and looks away.

A small smile appears on her face and at the same time, tears fill up in her eyes but Malar bites her lips to control herself.
"Akila! Eppadi irukka?"
"Naan supera irukkaen Vetri! Nee eppadi irukka? Ippolaam intha pakkam varathae illa?"
"Athe yen kekura. College arambichathilirunthu oor paakamae vara mudiyarathu illai! Aana inaikki varama irukka mudiyuma?"
"Athe sollu! Hey! Pugazhlu! Neeyuma?"
"Ama di! Naa varamala? Yenga namma thenu?"
"Avala? Appatha kooda varuva! Naanga thaan velakku podanumnu konjam munadiyae vanthutom!"
"Nangalum athukku thaan munnadiyae vanthutom! Selvi kooda"
"Seri vaa, ulla pogalaam!"
Akila and Pugazh walk into the temple. Malar follows suit when she hears Vetri clearing his throat.

Malar looks up at Vetri and shakes her head to indicate that she was not sure either. Before Vetri could speak more, Malar quickly heads into the temple and Vetri follows her.

Every few steps that Malar takes, she glances back to see Vetri. Meanwhile, Vetri's attention was on the sound her anklets made with every step. Both of them had a smile on their face. Eventually Malar comes to a stop near where Akila, Pugazh and Selvi were standing. Vetri joins her and whispers such that only Malar can hear him.
"Oy!"
Malar's heart flutters and beats faster.
"Enna nee! Ippadi pannura? Enkitta pesunathaan yenna?"
"Pesamattaenu sollavae illaiyae!"
