Vetri's schoolmate was getting married. That morning, Vetri had been helping out with the wedding chores and had been very busy. As he walked down the corridor ensuring that the guests were all well taken care of, his eyes meet with another pair of eyes. His heart gets all fuzzy and without him realising, a big smile appears on his face.

The owner of the other pair of eyes was Malar. Seeing the person opposite her smile at her, Malar returns the smile and turns back to speak to her friends. It was only when that someone called out to her did Malar realise the reason why he had such a big smile on his face. Just like Vetri, her heart flutters hearing him speak.

"Malar, eppadi irukka?"

Yeppadi irundha yen vayasu
Ada ippadi mari poghirathu
Un sorkalil enna sakkarai irukiradha
Dha dha dha dha

"Vetri! Neeya da ithu. Intha dhadiyoda irukkurathunala adaiyalamae theriyala. Eppadi irukka? Aama enna love failurea? Dhadi oda suttituirukka?"

Malar starts laughing. Had it been someone else, Vetri would have reacted differently. But seeing Malar laugh, Vetri started laughing along with her.

Unnadhu siripin oliyil
Enadhu illamai thavi kirathae

He looks at Malar from top to toe. It had been about six months since he last saw her as Malar had gone to Trichy to do her degree. The Malar that was standing before him was beautiful, just like an angel in a saree. Seeing Vetri stare at her, Malar becomes extra conscious of herself. She tucks her fringe behind her ear and clears her throat.

Vetri jolts from his thoughts. Just then, one of Malar's friends call for her and she excuses herself and moves away. As he watches her walk away, Vetri recalls their school days. Those were good old days and the two of them were more or less hanging out together with their friends almost all the time. Thinking of all those memories made Vetri feel contended.

Vetri continues to walk around the Mandapam checking if everything was in order. As he passed by one of the rooms, he hears some noise when inside the room. Vetri goes near the door and before he could comprehend anything, he was pulled into the room.

Nee nenjil vittu pona
Yenguthu en manam thuli thuli thaana

He steadies himself and looks at the person who had pulled him in. It was Malar who had a cheeky look on her face. Vetri's heart skips a beat and he suppresses the smile on his face.

"Enna panura Malar?"

"Inga naan mattum thaan irukkaen"

"Athu thaan theiryumae"

"Aprom yenna? Naan onna aaru maasam kalichu pakuraen, nee yennadana yaaro mathiri paakura, pesurae?"
