It had been thirty minutes since Malar had gone into their room. One by one, every member of the family was assembling in the living room but Malar was nowhere to be found. Vetri decides to go up to the room and check on Malar.

Vetri knocks on the door calling out for Malar but to his surprise, the room door wa sleft unlocked. Finding it unusual, Vetri pushes the door open and what he saw left him speechless. Malar was standing in front of the mirror getting ready. She was dressed in a beautiful pink saree and just looking at her made Vetri's heart go wild.

Malar had noticed Vetri through the mirror reflection. However, she was too busy to respond to him. She had a hard time choosing what to wear and that had resulted in a delay in getting ready. Malar picks up the kunguma chimil fondly. This was especially special since it was the first gift that Vetri had gotten for her after he proposed to her. Vetri who had been watching Malar's actions, comes closer to her. He takes the kunguma chimil and opens it up. He then takes some kungumam and applies it to Malar's hairline parting. Malar looks at Vetri and smiles. It had been a few months since the proposal but Vetri had taken it as a routine to apply Kungumam to Malar's hairline every single day.

Vetri puts the kunguma chimil on the dressing table and places his hand over his chest and rubs it as if soothing his heart. Malar's smile always made his heart beat extra fast. He steps closer to Malar but Malar who had been anticipating Vetri's move, gives him a slight push. She then quickly runs out of the room. Vetri closes the room door and follows Malar to the living room.

Malar goes and stands beside Akila. Vetri leans to his left, against the wall and admires her beauty. Malar looked like an angel in the pink saree. For a while, everything came to a standstill and Vetri could only see Malar. That was the case until Idhayakani Annae nudged him. Vetri turns to the source of pain and realises that Idhayakani Annae, Thangarasu Mama and Pughal were all staring at him.
Thangarasu Mama: What happened Mapillai? Looks like you were in deep thought
Pughal: Mama, I guess he was thinking about Malar Anni.
Vetri grins and quickly joins the rest of the family including Malar who were walking out to the car to avoid being teased even more.

Vetri notices that Malar had been talking with Akila and Selvi. The two of them were laughing at whatever Malar was saying and Selvi even exchanged a high five with Malar. Just then, Malar happened to turn. Seeing Vetri, she gives him a wink. Vetri breaks out into a smile and points to his bike. He reaches his bike and starts it only to see Malar walk towards the car. Vetri was confused. Malar always loved to travel with him on his bike but why was she doing something different today?

Instead, Naatarasan walks towards Vetri.
Naatarasan: Shall we go Vetri?
Vetri: Appa?
Naatarasan: What happened Vetri?
Vetri: Athu ...
Vetri suddenly hears Malar's voice.
Malar: Mama
The two of them turn and face Malar.
Naatarasan: What happened Malar?
Malar: Mama, I think you should come in the car with everyone.
Naatarasan: I thought you were going in the car?
Malar: No Mama, i just went to put the prayer things in the car.
Naatarasan: Never mind Malar, i'll come with Vetri
Malar: It would be more comfortable for you in the car Mama.
Naatarasan understands what Malar was trying to say and agrees. He smiles at Vetri and Malar and walks to the car. Malar looks at Vetri and smiles. Vetri breathes a sigh of relief. Malar sits behind him and leans close.
Malar: Did you think I would go in the car? I would always choose being with you Mama than any form of luxury.
Vetri and Malar smile and together, they head to the temple on their favourite vehicle - Vetri's bike.
