"Happy Holi!"
Malar and Vetri were greeted by various guests along the way to the reception desk. Vetri had been meeting up with various stakeholders to discuss about organic farming and one of them happened to be in Mumbai. He had brought Malar along so that she could get a break from the work at home and they could spend quality time alone.
Un peril en perai serthu (In your name, adding my name)
Viralodu uyir kooda korthu (Along with fingers, joining life)
Oor munne ondraga naamum (In front of people in city)
Nandhandhaal enna (what if we both walk?)
As they reached the reception desk, seeing the crowd, Malar moves closer to Vetri. Instinctively, Vetri puts his arm around her.
Receptionist: Sir, can i have your name?
Vetri: Vetrivel from Madurai. I have made a reservation through email.
Receptionist: Yes sir. And this must be Mrs Vetrivel.
Vetri nods and looks at Malar. He smiles at her before facing the receptionist again. It felt so good to hear Malar being addressed as his.
En nenjin theeyae (O the fire of my heart)
Ul engum neeyae (Inside me, you are fully occupied)
Kan moodumbothu (Even when I closed my eyes)
Kan mun nidraye (You stood before my eyes)
While waiting for the formalities to complete, Vetri recalls the first time that Malar had came with him. They had gone to Chennai for her examination. During that trip, Malar had maintained a distance and took a long time to even speak with him. But here they were, completely in love with each other.
Sirikkadhey Sirikkathey (Don't laugh, don't laugh)
Siripale mayakkathae (With your laugh, do not seduce me)
Adikathe adikathe (Don't beat, don't beat)
Azhagalae adikathe (Don't beat me with your beauty)
Meanwhile, Malar receives a call from her mother. She excuses herself and moves to one side to attend the call. Vetri keeps glancing towards her direction to make sure Malar remains safe. At one point, Vetri notices Malar laughing. He leans against the counter and admires her. He even forgets to breathe. His Malar was beautiful but when she laughed, she was even more beautiful.
Nanaika theriyadha (Don't you know how to drench?)
Adai mazhaiye (O persistent rain)
Nanaiya theriyatha (don't you know to get drenched?)
Malar kudaiye (O flower umbrella)
Maraiya theriyatha (Don't you know to disappear?)
Pagal Nilave (O the noon moon)
Ennai theriyadha (Don't you know me?)
Just then, Malar looks in his direction and seeing Vetri, she smiles at him. Vetri places his hand on his chest and rubs as if telling her that her smile affected his heart.
