As he flips over the calendar date, his eyes captures the small description that was written and immediately a big smile blooms on his face. He turns over and glances at the sleeping beauty on the bed before heading to the kitchen. He prepares for himself a steaming hot cup of tea and settles himself at his favourite spot in the house, the swing in the balcony. As he drinks the tea and admires the rising sun, beautiful memories rush back.

Memories of her cutely imitating his expressions or making fun of him when she thought he was not looking, appeared before his eyes. Even on days when he felt like not seeing anyone, it was her face that his heart was truly yearning for. They had truly evolved as a couple over the years. Initially, her eyes were enough to give him the strength to face every obstacle that came his way. Feeling the warm sun rays on his face, he smiles wider. Words would never be enough to express the significance she had in his life. In fact, she was his life. He moves in and as he walks down the hallway, his glance falls on all the photographs that were hanging on the wall. From the most serious looking shot during their degree graduation to the most goofiest shot when they were partying like kids, every picture had a story to tell.

He chuckles remembering the instance when they had spent their first weekend in their new home, gaming the entire Saturday night. And then another instance when she refused to go onto a roller coaster ride until she could get onto the first row. And another instance when she had shot targets with a rifle during their overseas trip. She was truly a girl who lived beyond societal norms, carefree and wild.
