"Malar, don't run away!"
Vetri looks up from his lecture slides and before he could figure out the situation, someone knocks his notes from his hand and crashes right into his arms. Vetri looks at the petite figure who was holding on to his hoodie to prevent herself from falling and was about to shout at her when she looks up. She apologizes before turning around to signal the girl who was right behind her to wait for a minute. She then bends down and picks up the papers while pushing her fringe behind her ears.

Vetri stares at the girl as if in a trance. Her hazel brown eyes that seem to speak a thousand languages, the natural flush that made her face look beautiful and her smile had captivated him. He remains in the same position until he hears a soft whisper.

"Are you okay?"
Vetri is jolted from his dreamland by the soft whisper from the girl. He attempts to reply back but his voice fails him. He ends up nodding. The girl smiles and passes him the stack of paper before speaking.
"I am so sorry...". She glances at the papers and continues "Vetri".
She then turns and makes a funny face at the other girl and runs off. Vetri turns and sees her running away with a huge smile on her face.

Vetri whispers "She is indeed as beautiful, just like her name".
He then walks away in search of his next classroom. He locates the class and chooses a seat before looking back at his notes trying to read them before his class began.
"Excuse me! Could you please move a little?"
Vetri looks up from the papers upon hearing the same voice he had heard a while ago.
"You?"
"Vetri... It's Malar by the way!"
"What are you doing here?" (As if cued, both of them ask at the same time.)
The two of them start laughing. Vetri moves in and Malar sits beside him.

Vetri smiles and before he could reply, Malar extends her hand.
Malar: Friends?
Vetri looks at her and smiles before shaking her hand.
