Malar feels uneasy and wakes up in the middle of the night. She looks around and realises that she was in a different room. She sits up and remembers that Vetri and her had come to Chennai for her best friend's wedding. She turns around and sees Vetri sleeping peacefully.

Vetri was sleeping like a baby. Malar recalls the day's events. Vetri had been helping out wholeheartedly with every work. Even when Malar had asked him to come and eat, Vetri had told her that he would eat later. When Malar headed to bed at night, Vetri was no where to be found. Malar had waited for a long time before falling asleep. Yet, Vetri did not come at all. Malar knew that Vetri would be dead tired.

Malar leans towards Vetri and strokes his hair. No one would be so humble like Vetri and treat his wife's friend's family like family. Malar feels thankful for having had Vetri in her life. She places her hand on his and begins to speak.

Malar: Vetri Mama, i must have done something right to have had you in my life. Any person would have hated me for all that i have done. But the amount of love that you showered on me is just unbelievable. And it has changed me for the better. I just hope that this will remain constant for the rest of our lives.

Just as Malar moves her hand, Vetri holds on to her hand. For a moment, silence fills the room. Malar looks at Vetri but there was no signs of him being awake. Malar realises that he must have held her hand in her sleep. She smiles and starts to move her hand but feels the grip tightening. Deciding not to wake Vetri up, Malar snuggles closer to him and falls asleep with her head on Vetri's pillow. Little did Malar know that the moment her hand touched Vetri's hair, Vetri had woken up.
