Malar comes into the room after finishing all the work in the kitchen and sees the pile of clothes lying on the bed.

She settles herself on the bed and picks up the towel to start folding when all of a sudden, her attention falls on the radio on the bedside table.

Malar's face brightens up and a small smile appears on her face. This was her all time favourite song and she was hearing it after some time.

Her thoughts go back to Vetri and how he had been teasing her the previous night. Since they had been spring cleaning for Deepavali, the workload had been really heavy for the past week and Malar had usually fallen asleep before Vetri would come home. In the mornings, Vetri would leave before she would wake up and hence the two of them had only spoken on the phone for a short while every day.
Yesterday, Malar had came back into the room after finishing all her work. She had just closed the door when all of a sudden, someone hugs her from the back. Malar had almost screamed but thankfully, Vetri had covered her mouth in time.

Vetri had then overdosed her with kisses on her cheek to make up for the past six days that they had not spent time with each other, which had left Malar giggling like a lovestruck teenager. Vetri had then guided Malar to sit on the bed. He knew that she would have been suffering from backache after all the work so he had applied ointment and had also given her a shoulder massage. Eventually, the two of them lied down to sleep but instead of sleeping, Vetri had been caressing her hair. It had reminded Malar of how her father would do the same whenever she was sick and it had instantaneously brought tears to her eyes. But Vetri had calmed her down, kissed her forehead and had made her sleep.

Thinking about that, Malar felt so contended with her life. Two years ago, life was uncertain but now, Malar knew that everything happened for a reason. For her to be bounded for life with Vetri.

As the she picks up the last cloth to fold, Malar smiles once again. It was Vetri's shirt. As if cued, it begins to rain and chilly wind blows. Along with the song that was playing, it made the whole ambience romantic and without much thought, Malar picks up Vetri's shirt and wears it over her saree and smiles shyly.

She then brings her hand in and caresses the shirt (her hand over her heart) and gives the collar a kiss. She turns around and to her surprise,

Vetri was there, leaning against the doorframe. Malar's jaw drops in shock. From his look, Malar realises that he had actually been there for a while now and had probably seen her singing and caressing his shirt.
*Malar's Mindvoice* - Pochu! Ivaru ellathaiyum parthiruparae! Naan paadinathaiyum kettiruparae!
Vetri raises his eyebrows as if questioning Malar and the very next moment, Malar and Vetri end up laughing. Malar moves closer and hugs Vetri. She buries her face on his chest with a big smile. Vetri kisses her head and smiles as well. Both of them knew that all that they needed was each other.
