It had been almost three months since Malar had last seen Vetri in person. Vetri had gone to Chennai to get some equipments for the farm and had been stuck at a friend's place because of the sudden implementation of the lockdown. The first two months were really painful and difficult for both of them but they made sure that they kept in touch through video calls at least twice a day, with the hope that the lockdown would end soon. However, with the lockdown being extended each time, the two of them were slowly getting used to the fact that they would be far apart.

It was almost ten at night. Malar was all alone in her room and had been going through her phone gallery. Half of the pictures were of her with Vetri. Each picture brought back a beautiful memory and going through it made Malar miss Vetri even more.

The silence in the room was killing her bit by bit. After confessing their love, the room had never witnessed any silent moments. Everyday, there would be something to look forward to, be it Vetri's mischief or their romance. Malar walks to the table and switches on the radio. and a situation song - Yaarumilla Thaniarangil was being played. Sighing over the coincidence, Malar walks towards the cupboard.

Malar picks up one of Vetri's shirt and holds it close to her. She then proceeds to wear the shirt before settling on the bed. She missed him - his presence, his smile, his voice, his smell, every bit of him. More than anything, not knowing when he would be back made the wait extra hard. If only she could be with him. Thinking of that made tears roll down her cheeks and she slumps on the bed frame with her eyes closed.

Malar jolts up and opens her eyes. To her surprise, the voice was real. Vetri was finally home. As the two of them embrace each other, words fail. Instead, both hearts speak.
