It was New Year's eve. Malar was walking back and forth in the room. She had decided to confess her love to Vetri but did not know how to say it.

Malar remembers something and goes to the cupboard. She opens it up and searches for something. At the back of the cupboard, there was a small box. Having found what she was searching for, Malar takes the box in her hand with a big smile. Holding on to it, she recalls the incidents that lead up to the box.

Malar had saved up money to buy a gift for Vetri. The gift was special to her because she had wanted to express her love and since it was bought from her first ever job, Malar had been looking out for a special day to gift it. However, after the Anjali incident, Malar had chucked it at the back of the cupboard. Malar glances at the clock and realises that Vetri would be home soon. She quickly tidies up the place and makes herself look presentable.

Meanwhile, Vetri had made similar plans to propose his love. He had no idea as to what Malar would like but he had always dreamt of gifting his wife a special gift. After finishing up his work, he had gone to get something for her and as he headed home, he starts thinking. What if Malar did not like the gift? He pushes out the negative thoughts and decides to remain positive.

Vetri enters the room and his eyes meet Malar's eyes. As if on cue, both of them speak at the same time.

Vetri: You say first Malar

Malar: No you can say first

Vetri: Okay fine. On the count of three, we will both say it together.

Malar: Okay

Vetri: One, Two and Three

Both Malar and Vetri extend the boxes and say I love you at the same time. Both of them smile and exchange the boxes. They open up and see that both of them bought a ring for each other. They smile and exchange the rings followed by a loving hug.
