"well... the babies could have been injured. but theyre. lucky, theyre both safe" she smiles
anthony and i let out a deep, relieving sigh. thank fucking god.
we get up ready to leave but someone grabs my arm. i turn around
"please move somewhere safe. take good care of you and your babies" the doctor says
i smile and nod.

"its okay anthony, im fine really" i say getting out of the car
"are you sure?" he asks
"go home and get some sleep. big day tomorrow" i wink
he cracks a smile and hugs me one more time
"i'll see you tomorrow. call me if you need anything" he says
"will do"
i turn around and see stephanie running up to me
"STEPHANIE WAI-" before i can finish she jumps on top of me, making me fall on the ground.
"OHMYGOD LU I WAS SO FUCKING WORRIED" she says
"can u like.. get off me? unless you want my babies to become pancakes" i laugh
she chuckles and helps me get up. we settle ourselves and finally eat our now cold chick-fil-a
"tell me everything!" she says
jadens pov
"jaden!" anthony yells, pushing me against the wall
"woah calm down superman." i laugh
"do you think this is a joke? you couldve killed her babies!" he screams
"yeah whatever. wait so they arent dead?" i ask
"no luckily. and its too late for an abortion anyways fucker" he says, finally letting go of me
"look i know what i did was fucked up"

"VERY fucked up" he says
"yeah. truth is... im actually happy she kept them. maybe it could bring us closer.. not that i want that. forget i said anything" i cough
"jaden you gotta stop this man. ur not yourself anymore. cmon cynthia?" he says
"yeah that was really weird wasnt it" i chuckle
he laughs
"mates again?" i ask
"bro weve always been mates" he says hugging me
"but.. you gotta fix it. everything." he says
"what does that even mean at this point"
"get rid of all the stupid alcohol. kick off dude. also, break up with cynthia. and lets meet up with the dudes again. yk have a guy night" he says
"you know what? you're right! maybe tomorrow though.. im fucking tired" i say
"uh we cant tomorrow. i-i cant" he says stressed
"why not? anthony?" i ask
is this dude hiding something else from me?
"its uh fuck.. its the babyshower tomorrow. but pls dont do shit.. just wait and dont start any drama" he says
"yeah no i wont. its fine i'll just" i cough " whatever"

"girl what the actual fuck? that happened?" she softly rubs her thumb over my wrist
"i'll get some ice" she says
"its not really worth it anymore.. can we just.. cover it up tomorrow? so no one brings it up?" i ask
"yes ofcourse! i used to cover hickeys like all the time in high school" she says
i give her a weird look
"u naughty little kid" i say in a fake british accent
we both laugh and finish our food
