Sophia.

(flashback, three weeks ago)

It was always like this, so chaotic and insane and at this point I know that this is how it's going to be, every time.

But still, on days that I do babysit the twins or the pretty little ballerina girl, I take in my very own small person because where else could I keep him on those days if not with me? But always, goddamn always, this happens . I almost let them go at it again because they're being so freaking unreasonable right now, with each other especially— what did the college people call this back in class? I think it was testosterone? Could they have that?

At the age of five and seven? I need to look it up. . .

“Stop fighting already, please, why won't you two just be friends, like normal children your age would be doing?”

Charlie snickers, sending Jacobi a warning and deadly glare that even i would be afraid of if it were directed at me. But the child stays unaffected and glares right back.

“Tell him to stop kissing my nora!”

“Shut up, you're just jealous because she allows me to.”

I gasp and face-palm, oh dear, good lord, send me some saving grace from these two. I silently send a prayer up and like a miracle, Percy walks into the small commotion.

His eyes meet mine from across the room and he smiles, spiking my heart beat faster as he walks towards my slouched figure on the couch. He bends down and playfully flickers my nose. “This looks so controlled, amante.”

My eyes narrow at him and like a child, I stick out my tongue at him. “They are much too young for this.”

I watch as he turns his head to watch the boys bickering with each other, rather loudly like grown ass men, before he turns back to face me and grins, nodding his head as he pulls my body from my seated position and I whine.

He smells freshly showered and his dark wet hair drops little droplets on my skin when I look up at him— his strong arms around me, engulfing me into him, and his green intense eyes watch me with eager amusement.

Something like honey smells from his body and I smirk. “That is not for your use, you know? It's your brother's.”

Charlie likes anything that smells like honey so when we go bulk buying and I have extra cash to spend, I buy him honey scented and flavored things and he is gaga over it. It's so weird that he likes it but I don't question him because everyone is a little crazy and weird with scents and smells— like petrol or glue or polish or new books! It's the weirdest things that we tend to like, yet, it's natural.

He shrugs and leans him, pressing a gentle kiss on my forehead and then he inhales, deeply and I flush bright red.

His eyes twinkle, smirking, he gives me the look that practically yells the reason why his using his brother's stuff and not his own favorite scent, again, I blush.

“I thought since my woman wanted to smell like me—”

Charlie screams suddenly and I quickly turn my head.

I would go over to help with the situation but it seems to defuse itself when Jacobi gives him the stink eye and goes to watch television, far away from him which is good.

Distance is good for these two.

Percy places his chin on my head and mutters something under his breath that I don't catch and I don't bother.
