"H-hyung-" Jungkook stuttered when Taehyung pulled away from him.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-" Taehyung yelled and moved as far away from the younger as he could, avoiding eye contact.
"H-hyung, I-" Jungkook started, not able to find a way to verbalize all of the thoughts running through his head.
"No it's really ok, I understand." Taehyung said, feeling like the younger didn't have the same feelings as him.
"B-but, I, uh...." Jungkook tried again, still not able to figure out exactly what to say.
"Really, Jungkook. I'm so sorry. I hope me kissing you won't affect our relationship that we already have." Taehyung said worried that Jungkook might be weirded out by him, finally looking at the younger.
Jungkook sat quietly on the ride, face burning, as he desperately tried to put words to his thoughts and emotions, failing no matter how much he thought and how much he wanted to speak about what happened.
As soon as they were let off the ride, Taehyung speed walked to his car barely leaving time for Jungkook to catch up before he started the car.
And this is how Jungkook and Taehyung's car ride was very silent, Taehyung finding it awkward while Jungkook oblivious to life around him. He was so lost in his thoughts, he barely noticed when they arrived at Jungkook's apartment.
Once they got to Jungkook's building they sat in silence for a few seconds before Jungkook spoke.
"I had a nice night, Taehyung. Thank you." Jungkook said softly, smiling at the man next to him who was visibly shaking as he tightly gripped the steering wheel.
Taehyung only nodded in response, thinking Jungkook was just trying to be nice and completely missed the smile and look in Jungkook's eyes as he looked at him.
Jungkook got out of the door without saying a word. He waved hesitantly at Taehyung, walked into the building and sighed, thinking it was his fault the night got so awkward.
He entered the apartment with his bear in his left arm and saw a visibly excited Kai waiting to hear what happened.
"What are you doing?" Jungkook questioned warily, not wanting to deal with his cousin's shenanigan after whatever had just happened.
"Spill." Kai said simply.
"Spill what?" Jungkook asked, raising his eyebrows.
"What happened on your date!" Kai replied, as if he had just said the most obvious thing in the world.
"He kissed me and-", Jungkook muttered, pausing for a few seconds.
"Really?!" Kai interrupted.
"And then ran away." Jungkook finished.
"What the hell!? That's messed up." Kai crossed his arms over his chest, sighing and sitting back in his chair.
"I don't want to talk about it. I just want to go to sleep." Jungkook murmured, walking past Kai and not stopping until he was safe inside of his room, laying with his face buried into his pillow.
"I'm sorry!" Kai yelled down the hallway.
"Ugh!" Jungkook sighed heavily.
Kai laughed a bit then went to his bed, not noticing Mrs. Jeon on the couch listening to everything.
