Kwazii and peso are in the gup-C with the gup-D flipped upside down attached to the tow line, creating a air pocket so the manatee can breathe "captain it worked" peso said excitedly, this was the captain's plan after all "mmhmhhm" the captain's voice was muffled as he held his breath, "captain?" Peso asked as him and Kwazii shared worried expressions, they saw barnacles swimming towards them "captain are you alright?" Kwazii asked concerned for his best friend and crewmate, "mmmhgm" the captain muffled, he managed to get underneath the gup-D before he ran out of air "I'm fine" barnacles said gasping for air, "captain the lightning storm is passing" dashi said happily oblivious to the events that just took place, "thanks dashi, the manatees can be released, tweak open the octo-hatch" barnacles ordered, even during and after an ordeal he still attends to his duties as captain of the octonauts
(Barnacles's pov)
Kwazii peso and myself went to the surface, I took a deep breath in and out, the fresh air felt good in my lungs after holding my breath for as long as I did, "good work today octonauts" I said complementing my crews work, "but what about you captain?" Peso questioned, "yeah, what happened down there?" kwazii asked showing concern, "well let's see, I was struck by lightning, eatin by a giant clam, stung by a jellyfish, attacked by barracudas, escaped on the back of a blue whale, smashed into a shipwreck, freed myself, ran out of air and....oh yeah found you" I said telling them all the craziness that happened today, "your pulling me paw" kwazii mewed in disbelief, "flappity flippers" peso said shocked by my story, "now let's head back to the octopod, I'll pilot the gup-D" I said, after everything that's happened to me today I just want to get back home in one piece "aye aye captain" kwazii and peso said in unison, I got in the pilot's seat of the gup-D as kwazii and peso submerged in the gup-C "a good ending to a long day" I sighed to myself, after all that I'm worn out, it'll be nice to get back to the octopod and get some sleep
