chapter seven: (part 2) the visit

(Bianca's pov)
"Because we're going to help you find them" my brother told his best friend, barnacles is always so helpful I can see why inkling wanted him as a captain, he's good at his job "only on one condition" kwazii said, I wonder what that means? "What's that?" My twin brother asked confused, "you have to let me help you find your parents" kwazii said, I was almost speechless, this is the reason barnacles doesn't like to talk about our parents, we lost them in a snow storm when we were hardly old enough to fend for ourselves but we had no choice it was that or we wouldn't have survived, I guess that's why barnacles is the way he is, I remember him taking care of me when we were cubs and telling me that no matter what he was never going to give up, he found a family in the other octonauts and I know if one of them is in danger he will stop at nothing to save them, just like he said when we were cubs he never did and never will give up "orson and I are gonna help too" Ursa blurted, "but you two are still cubs" saber said, I don't remember hearing much about her until recently, I think she might be related to kwazii in some way from what I've gathered "your not an adult either" Ursa said back, "and I lost whoever my biological family was in a ship raid, kwazii took me in and I've basically grown up here, I been on many different missions and rescues, some dangerous and some not, either way there's a huge difference between me and you two, my maturity isn't measured by the number of birthdays I've had it is however measured by experience and the choices I have made, you two are still dependent on your mom and have a lot of learning to do and life to live before you can get to the point that I'm at now" saber said to my cubs who for once didn't have a comeback for what was said to them, she may be a young kitten but she's very grown up acting for how young she is "so you lost your family too?" I asked, "yeah, the octonauts are me family now, I call kwazii dad sometimes and Calico Jack says I'm his great granddaughter and that he doesn't care if I'm related to him by blood or not, it's just the way things are" saber explained, "aye lass, your the best treasure I've ever found" kwazii said putting a arm around saber, "thanks dad" saber said happily as she hugged kwazii, "don't mention it" kwazii said returning the hug, these two are actually quite cute together

(Barnacles's pov)
This crew is one big extended family we've established that, at least I know why kwazii was upset now, even if it did bring up something I haven't talked about and have pushed to the back of my mind for years, my parents, kwazii said he was going to help me find them and I know the rest of my crew will help in whatever way they can, I don't usually like to ask for help that often cuz when I was a cub I didn't have anyone to ask, I just had to figure it out myself and then help my sister, asking for help may be foreign to me but I know when kwazii makes a promise he intends to keep it

(Saber's pov)
"Some of us might not know our origin" I started, "but the present is what matters" I finished, I turned to the captain and my dad "on me honor as an octonaut I promise we'll find both of your family's and dad if we find skinner I'll make sure that fox knows not to come around if he knows what's good for him" I told them, this going to be one big tough mission but the octonauts can do what ever they put their minds to
