chapter ten: (part 4) saber and the long-arm squid

(Saber's pov)
Me peace ocean Kateleen and peso are almost to the entrance, we just rounded the corner to see the captain tending to kwazii who was leaning unconsciously on a rock "captain, what happened?" I gasped, "something grabbed Kwazii by the tail and pulled him into a rock and knocked him out" Barnacles's explained, "flapitey flippers" peso exclaimed, *creepy moaning sounds* "peso captain, take care of kwazii, peace ocean Kateleen and I are gonna-woah" I started, some kinda tentacle grabbed me by the tail and jerked me up though a hole in the ceiling

(Barnacles's pov)
"SABER" everyone except for kwazii shouted, something's got ahold of her "captain, we're going after her, ocean peace come on" Kateleen ordered, I nodded in response, I looked back to see kwazii waking up "easy tiger" I said placing my paw on his shoulder, "what the-what's going on?" Kwazii asked confused, "you were knocked out" I explained, "are you okay captain?" He asked, now that's the kwazii I know always putting his friends before himself "I'm fine but I'm not sure you are" I stated, "how are you feeling Kwazii?" Peso asked, "mm...confused" he replied, "where's saber?" Kwazii asked worryingly, "Kateleen ocean and peace went after her, I'm sure she'll be alright, she doesn't let anything get in her way exactly like you" I reassured him, I'm not surprised that was his first question

(Kwazii's pov)
"Where's saber?" I asked, I'm not sure what's going on, the captain told me I got knocked out "Kateleen ocean and peace went after her, I'm sure she'll be alright, she doesn't let anything get in her way exactly like you" captain Barnacles's replied, I smiled at the thought of saber being like me, I may be young but I'm not gonna let that stop me from saying I'm a dad whose very proud of his daughter

(Saber's pov)
Whatever grabbed me just let go, "ow...that wasn't very nice" I scolded, that's when a giant almost translucent something appeared from the darkness *creepy moaning sounds* so that's what was making that noise! "Help" the creature said in between it's painful sobbing, "pardon?...did you say help?" I questioned, "I'm so sorry to bother you but I seem to be a little stuck" the creature explained, "well I'm more than happy to help but what in the seven seas are you anyway?" I asked, "oh, I'm a long-arm squid" the squid explained, "saber are you-woah" Kateleen said in surprise at seeing the long-arm squid as her ocean and peace sawm up into the cavern I was in, "this long-arm squid needs our help, now what seems to be the problem?" I asked concerned, "it's one of my tentacles, it seems to be stuck on something" he explained, by that time kwazii peso and the captain were now in the cavern with us

"Dad" I said excitedly seeing kwazii awake and hugging him, "are you alright?" I asked concerned, "aye little treasure, I'm gonna be okay but what happened to you?" He asked equally concerned, "well this long-arm squid needs our help, he says one of his tentacles is stuck on something" I explained, "if you needed help why didn't you just ask us?" The captain inquired, "us long-arm squids are well..shy, I'm sorry if I frightened you, I didn't mean it" the long-arm squid apologized, "no hard feelings but if you need help the octonauts are always more than happy to lend a hand" I said, "now let me take a look at that tentacle" I remarked, I swam over to the squid and looked at his tentacles and eventually found the problem "captain peso, I'm gonna need you for this" I said, this is not a good situation for a tentacle to be in

"What's wrong saber?" The captain asked, "his tentacle is tangled around a rock with another rock on top of it" I explained, "it's gonna take polar bear strength and some wrapspeed flippers to get the squid unstuck" I remarked turning to my captain and crewmate, "alright, octonauts let's do this" the captain ordered confidently with a smile, and just like that we had a plan in place and went straight into action, I helped the captain lift the one rock while peso untangled the long-arm squids tentacle from the other, it wasn't long until he was free "thank you octonauts, that feels a lot better" the now unstuck long-arm squid marveled, "all in a days work" I replied happily, "mm, that needs a bandage" peso said before putting his light-speed flippers to work once again, "thank you peso" the long-arm squid said once more, "your welcome, be careful with those tentacles of yours" peso replied accepting the thanks, "I will, goodbye" the squid replied right before disappearing into the darknes from that which he once came , "good work today everyone especially you saber, let's head home" the captain said complimenting everyone on their work, "aye aye captain" Kateleen kwazii peace ocean me and peso said in unison, we swam out of the cave and back to the gups and on the way back to the octopod I remembered a couple things I wanted to tell the others
